Fantasystic Summer of Pentagon

Hello KA!

To wrap up the summer season (in the northern hemisphere) the Universe team here would like to present the 2022 Pentagon summer comebacks that only happened in our imaginations! :')

In each section of today's blog we explore different summer concepts that we would love to see Pentagon do! Enjoy!

Pentagon are no strangers to bright summer concepts, especially having a whole EP called SUM(ME:R) with fresh and vibrant tracks. It's been a long time now since their last summer comeback though, so I will be constructing a summer comeback concept that I think they would pull off very well!

Most of the time when you think of summer concepts the first thing that comes to mind is beach or swimming poll concepts, and I adore those concepts, but it's time to branch out a little because there's more to summer than that. One of my favorite parts of summer are summer nights when the air gets cooler, fireflies come out, and there's lots of activities to do outdoors! So I wanted to design this concept around the feelings and lights of summer nights.

For the music video concept, a few different types of scenes would be fitting to incorporate into the theme of illuminating a summer night. Firstly, it could open during sunset in a camping setting by a lake, with a focus on the colors of the sky reflected on the water and the scattered lights of fireflies marking the beginning of the night. This would be the smallest and most gentle type of illumination represented, so regarding the music it would be good for the song to start off gently as well, but with an overall happy tone.

Then, as the song progresses and the sun fully sets, we move on to the second scene in which the could be playing with sparklers or other small fireworks. This scene would also align with the song picking up in energy a little, likely interspersed with more choreography scenes. I think this song would be upbeat, but in a mellow way that is slightly more toned down from your typical summer song. A sound similar to Pentagon's song Sparkling Night would actually be perfect and align with the summer nights concept wonderfully!

Finally, the third and final type of scene of the music video would include the incorporation of floating water lanterns, which would create a beautiful display and background for the end of the song. I think it would be cute for the song to end with the singing a section in unison in classic Pentagon style, as a way to bring the energy of the song back down into a smooth finish. Overall the ending scene will be a little more sentimental, and the soft finish will connect the end of the song to the way that it began.

Although this is the idea that I came up with, I pretty much love any and all summer concepts, and any summer concept that Pentagon does . . . would be a great opportunity for yet another

i kept forgetting to write this section, because i never got the right idea for a summer concept for them. however as someone who enjoys trap music and elements a lot, i had to bring it into this summer release. we barely hear anything trap inspired in kpop, if even khh. but we need much more of that. it doesn't has to be a full trap song, but a few elements or layers included in the instrumental would be so exciting. i especially think that they could pull this of so amazingly. they're incredible producers while they always have their own unique style. they always add such confidence and their charms which would make it able for them to deliver something inspired by trap. they would most likely combine it with another genre to create an opportunity for the vocals to shine. i can imagine them to use trap beats for the rap parts or even the dance break while the rest of the song would be upbeat and exciting, yet in a more laid-back way. i think it could be an amazing balance between being hype or calm. i also thought about the concept itself having road trip and party vibes. trap definitely reminds me of the excitement and nervousness which one's feels when going on a road trip with friends or enjoying a party. it matches well with that genre and the soothing layers the instrumental would get. i can definitely imagine them to find a way to create something so different and addictive which only they could ever do.

trap plus another genre would be so interesting for a summer concept while that definitely matches the concept which i would give the mv. it would be one which is rather like a self-cam version. it would give us an insight into them having the time of their lives and enjoying the summer to the fullest. watching the mv would definitely make everyone smile so much. plus i think that pastel colours would be an incredible highlight. i truly love pastel colours while i can see how beautifully they match the mv concept and the themselves. honestly, i can just totally imagine them to release something so unexpected and mesmerising. it would probably be targeted at people who love trap music, but that's okay. because that's why i'm here. i literally did this to my preference while i now want to see it happen. i just want some trap music, haunting tones and the full power of trap. i know that i could trust the boys with delivering when it comes to this. i mean the rap line would own the trap beats while the vocalists would find their own way to shine and prove their insane skills. in the end, i just got this idea and couldn't let go of it, so here we are. anyway that's it about how i would want their next summer release to look and sound like
