before soyeon’s solo was even announced, (g)i-dle already introduced 3 summer tracks, one per year, which in my opinion, all happen to be an era for soyeon, especially “uh-oh” and “dumdi dumdi” she previously expressed she loves summer and would love to make music people can listen to in the summer more. so when an idea of her solo came up, i knew what to expect and im sure we all did when she dyed her hair blonde :D <3 personally i got to read some interviews and show scripts before actually watching the music video for “beam beam” and from the way soyeon described her album, i was not surprised to hear what i did. from her previous works, “beam beam” is a song i bet anyone would associate with soyeon even if it wasn’t hers, it suits her so perfectly and i don’t think she could’ve made a better title track to represent her as an artist. she talked about how when working on idle’s tracks, she has to consider the rest of the and their vibes and voices a lot too while for beam beam and windy in general, it’s just herself. she made everything herself and she is proud of it <3 it’s an addictive song made as a perfect fit to listen to during the summer and it gives off the energy of the type of song to be found in a club ?? pls it’s unexplainable but that was one of my first impressions of it skdfjgdfj i was actually surprised at how well the music video also goes along with the concept of the entire album, i never thought i’d see such a perfect track, but look it’s soyeon, why are we even surprised anymore kdfhgj anyway ! despite the entire album being an absolute masterpiece, beam beam is still one of my favourite soyeon tracks if not the top favourite.

weather?!?! okay first off i must say i love this song so much :sob: when i heard the snippet, i fell in love with the song already :sweat: the beat is so good and addicting :weary: i would say this song is fun and it’s suitable to listen when it’s raining outside <3 i also recommend listening it when you’re on a vacation :grin: :+1: 🏻 :yellow_heart: do you hear her vocals?!?! soyeon is so talented pls :(( i don’t know why but i find some parts in the song adorable :sob: :sob: probably like the way she sings it is adorable??? jevjfjvkb idk how to explain it. the rap part is fire, soyeon slays like always 🥳 i personally love the chorus so much!! soyeon’s debut mini album is aoty :D

Soyeon’s first mini album has been released, and it’s an understatement to say I’m obsessed with it. One track I especially love is Quit. It has a feeling that I don’t feel with any other kpop song- it’s very unique and I feel like all of the verses work and sound very well together. It has a very different feeling compared to the rest of the songs in Windy. While it’s not necessarily slower, it feels calmer and a bit more vocal based than the rest of the tracks. Even though I love all of the tracks on the album, I love the little bit of switch between styles giving the album more diversity and more tracks to fit each listeners preferences while keeping a similar and cohesive style.
Quit is arguably the song that “stuck with me” most after I first listened to Windy, the song has been stuck in my head foreverrr and I keep going back to relished. I love the few lines right before the chorus the most. The chorus is pretty good as well! I like the subtle beat drop. I also really enjoy her rap in this song. It fits pretty well with the rest of the verses and sounds great as always! Soyeon also sounded really fantastic in the song. I personally love her vocals so I was super excited to hear this song and have been obsessed with it since the first listen!!
I recommend this song to anyone who likes (G)I-DLE’s ‘chiller’ songs as it reminds me a lot of those. Regardless, I really enjoy this song and would recommend it to anyone looking for some new songs to listen to!! Definitely check it out. <3

I listened to Soyeon's mini album the day after it came out, and from the first listen, the song that stood out to me the most was "Psycho". The piano intro immediately drew me in, especially since it's not a pure piano sound. It almost has a harpsichord sound to it, with really deep bass piano notes playing under it, and both sounds work together to create a suspenseful and intimidating atmosphere that fits the song perfectly. I like how the song starts with Soyeon singing, and the way she pronounces her words, emphasizing certain parts and dragging out certain syllables is so interesting and makes even a simple verse melody sound complex and stylized. The pre-chorus does a really great job with building up tension and ramping us up to the chorus, and I love the way she breaks up the fast melody by drawing it out when she says "즐거우니까" towards the end. There's not really a big chorus drop, but rather it falls into a really satisfying groove that I really like, and I love the long "whoa" she holds out before the last line. The second verse brings us the rap queen we all know and love, and she starts it in the most iconic way by saying "Did you get what kind of bish I am?" :clap: I like how the rap starts a but slow and melodic and then kicks into a super fast flow that really lets her go off, and then drops right back into the chorus. I like how the song ends on the bridge, because it's really unusual and intriguing! Not adding a final chorus to the song makes it feel like it's ending on a cliffhanger, and when the last line is "Maybe I'm psycho", it's honestly such a fitting way to end the song! Overall I really love this song and I love how it shows a lot of different sides to Soyeon, all in a song that's not even three minutes long!

Hey everyone! It’s chanel and I’m super excited too reviewing Soyeon’s awesome b-side “is this bad b**** number?” Which also feats BIBI and Lee Young Ji. I absolutely love literally every aspect of it from the people to the title, lyrics and music! I loved the concept of it the old telephone noises, to being the song. Wow soyeon starts it off sweet but cool with her section. Her pronunciation is amazing and I was so suprised at Lee Young JI next cause I’ve never heard he music before! Her voice is deeper and gave me a strong impression. Her rapping skills are amazing and I might honestly end up standing all the girls since I love BIBI and Soyeon already! Soyeon then starts again sorta sweetly but with some hints of spice! I can’t wait for BIBI parts are listening to the other girls! I love the backgourn music in Soyeon bit cause it’s so detailed with voices and laughing sounds layered. The lyrics are super cute but dark in away that are also catchy! The tune is simple and makes you bop, constantly stuck in your head. BIBI’s part was better than I anticipated withe the door opening sound. Her voice is softer in contrast to the other but she conveys her part of the song with her own styles including the lyrics that refer to her other songs! The music is honestly a vibe with some trap and electronic elements? Soyeon’s part is just stuck in my head cause it seem totally her style but also super new at the song time. Her Solo rap sections made me scream internally as it was so good! It was so fast as I was trying to keep up! I haven’t seen her rap this style before and the conversations high parts were a nice addition like “omg”. I totally recommend this song as it’s such a vibe! All the girls make strong impressions and you can see their styles all incorporated nicely in the song. They all seem like talented, pretty b******!
