July Edit Dump 1; Manipulations

Welcome everyone! I hope you’re all doing well despite the crazy things going on in the world today.

For my first edit dump of July, I decided to change things up a bit. From the title, you can see I’ve decided to make manipulation edits. All of these, except one, are face swap manipulations, meaning I took an idol’s face and put it over another’s. I am still very new to these as I have only ever done one edit like this in the past. I have done many enhancement manipulation edits before so I’m not new in that aspect. You can see as the blog goes on that I started learning what to do and what looks better, and I’m happy to share this improvement!

Anyways, I’m very fond of sci-fi and whimsical fantasy concepts, so I just kinda let my mind explore and see what I could come up with. I hope you enjoy these!

This is my first face swap manip edit since my first one half a year ago. I’m not too proud of the enhancements, but I am satisfied with the hair as that took me a solid 2 hours to do. I also could have done a slightly better job on the lighting.

I love the colors that turned out of this edit, but I’m not satisfied with the enhancements. I do, however, like the blue hair I gave her. One thing I would do differently would be to make the original model bigger so the enhancements aren’t as dull or blurred.

I thought this one was pretty well done! I like how it turned out because he looks very magical! I had some issues placing the crown, but a few perspective form adjustments helped fix that. Maybe next time I won’t go so overboard on the yellow.

Overall, I’m happy with the dark and destroyed look of the dystopian universe I created Cheol in! I just love the sparks coming off the left side followed by the smoke. The lighting is also pretty spot on too. I wanted to make the original model larger so it wouldn’t be as blurry, but then it wouldn’t give the effect I wanted, so I had to deal with a super small model and attempt to enhance Cheol’s face.

Whew, this one took a while! I was having so many issues with the glasses because no pngs I could find worked with his face! I had to end up drawing them myself, and I’m no visual artist so it was a struggle making them look nice and somewhat realistic. I am, however, very happy with the atmosphere and lighting! I just love neon glow!

Here’s a little bonus edit of Minghao because I am absolutely whipped and I also have been in a serious KnY mood lately. I just kinda made this for fun and honestly, I liked how it turned out so I want to show it in this blog! Minghao really does look good in orange and yellow
