Most Memorable Moments

Hey everybody! I am so excited to bring to you our new #memoriateam blog.

For this blog we decided to discuss some of our favorite or most memorable moments with some of our favorite disbanded groups! This was such a fun blog to create because we were really able to relive the happy and memorable moments with these groups.

seven o'clock ('hey there' promotions)

the first moments i decided to pick and put together are the 'hey there' promotions from seven o'clock. i still can't believe that they disbanded after having released such stunning songs, especially after taking a long break after their debut. at least i'm happy that hangyeom redebuted in omega x as well as younghoon and taeyoung who will debut in black level soon. anyway this isn't supposed to be sad, so i'll move on. so like 'hey there' happened to be there last comeback before their disbandment and it's such a beautiful and impressive era in general. actually to be honest, i didn't pay much attention to this song when it first came out, but i quickly realized how fun and addictive it is. plus i've watched all live performance, just because they created an intriguing and playful choreography for this while the visuals during this era are extremly breathtaking. i also want to point out a few moments or videos which are so special. in fact their relay dance which is so enjoyable to watch, especially because it shows all of them being so energetic and joyful while they deliver such happiness with their dancing. it's like they focus on the fun aspect rather than going fully into it, but like that's what makes watching them so heartwarming. plus their smiles actually make this whole comeback to something so memorable and positive. ansd of course, i love how sharp and detailed yet playful this choreography is. next is the hanbok version of this which not only amazingly fits this song and its concept, but it also gave us such happy boys who love performing so much. like you can see how they had the times of their lives performing for us while looking so pretty. plus these hanboks are so stunning to look at even though they've rather simple.

lastly it's their mv reaction which makes me feel so safe and joyous while all of them are such precious boys. also watching this even without understanding anything easily makes one feel so comforted and safe for such a long time. plus it's motivating to witness their reactions while they're so excited and simply proud of themselves which they definitely should be

masc ('maschera' release)

another moment is masc's 'maschera' which was one of their comebacks after quite a while and it happened to be their last comeback once again. anyway i realized that i focused on promotions rather than some heartwarming and ive moments. however this is yet another song which immediately made me feel so energetic and joyous while they're such sweet boys. i mean like i've actually never kept up a lot with their activities, but this song in specific is such a feel good one while it sounds so addictive. so like it perfectly makes one feel so at ease and happy while the upbeat feeling to this is so mesmerising. plus a few warmhearting moments related to these promotions in specific, i might pick are a few concert performance in cologne or the brazil one from the tour back in 2019. and like the way they're performed for quite less fans in a actual small places makes me feel so joyous while their interactions with fans has always been so sweet. i mean like witnessing the fans being so excited and in love while the boys have so much fun performing makes me feel so comforted as well as energetic. plus they did so well with making these performances so mesmerising and stunning while their smiles are literally so precious, it's unbelievable. onto the mv itself which is so bright and cheerful while it immediately puts a smile on my face. i mean like it's so sweet and addictive to watch while i adore them so much. i in general am in love with the nature setting of this mv while it's more of a self-filmed and fun yet extremely aesthetic mv which i enjoy watching so much. plus i just appreciate these boys so much for everything they've done for us and ing this positive energy is always so heartwarming

speed ('what u' promotions)

the last moment i decided on are the 'what u' promotions by speed, mainly because it'll always be one of the most memorable and impressive songs with such an iconic choreography. like honestly the song being so powerful and charismatic as well as mesmerising isn't already incredible enough. but they had add such an insanely captivating and complex choreography which is so fun to watch. that's especially combined with their facial expressions and eye-catching confidence. and like a few sweet and beautiful moments in specific would be a live performance to show how mind-blowing it actually is. i also know that i once talked about this in detail while i currently can't when. anyway coming back to performances of this always reminds me off how unmatched they were while they deliverer such new and unique content such as this choreography. i just in general find so much joy and energy in watching them having this difficult yet fun choreography while performing with such intriguing stage presence. next is a radio show performance of this songwhich points out how sweet they're. like watching them enjoying this song so much is so comforting, especially because they all put so much ion into every word they deliver. plus seeing them getting excited about parts from other while in general being so positive is making me feel so energetic. and they honestly have some of the most memorable and precious smiles one can witness. lastly the whole song just makes me travel back in time, even though i've only found them way after their disbandment

after school (2021 mmtg special concert)

The 2021 MMTG Special Concert blessed everyone with a beautiful performance by After School. If I said I did not cry I would be lying. It felt so good to see the girls together and happy and healthy. I could not help but feel so proud knowing that each member is presently doing things that make them happy and living the lives they want to live. It was such a bittersweet moment. There is nothing more overwhelming than hearing the intro of Bang! while the girls are dressed in their marching band inspired outfits. Their iconic dance moves, dance formations, and angelic voices. Everything about this performance made me so happy. It is such a blessing as a fan to see the artists you love, become happy in their own lives. To see them all come back together and do something special for the fans is so heartwarming. In all my time stanning After School, I would have to say this moment has become my favorite and most memorable. Their dedication to their fans, one another, and most importantly themselves is just so beautiful.

I will forever be so grateful for everything After School has contributed. They are truly icons and they deserved so much better. I was so happy to see the come together for this stage and really remind everyone that After School has always been, and will always be, musical icons. The confidence, the talent, the revival of the marching band concept all brought me back to when they were active. I am so happy for this group and each accomplishments both as a group and as individuals.

pristin (radio show karaoke)

Pristin singing "Tears" on a KBS radio show will always be an iconic and hilarious memory. I often think about this moment and how brightly it showed each personalities. These girls were not only extremely talented, but they were also such beautiful and wonderful souls. The giggles while they are screaming to reach the high notes makes me think of having fun singing with my friends. It is such a pure moment of fun. They are so extra and funny that this clip always brings me joy. I really wish we had more moments like this with the group, because they were truly fun and free souls. I think they had a beautiful connection with one another and seeing moments like this is a reminder of how amazing things could have been. Pristin even when just joking around had so much charisma in this clip.

It is such a shame how things ended for Pristin, because they had so much potential together. These are the moments that us, as fans, should hold onto and . The girls were fun and free spirited. They were amazing together, and I know separately they will continue to do amazing things. Prisitin is a group that I will forever hold close to my heart and will forever miss. These girls deserved so much better and I will never forgive the people who wronged them. This memory reminds me of a group who loved to laugh, loved to sing, and loved one another. I will always turn to this clip on a sad day. Please continue to all my girlies!!

spectrum (dear my live stage)

TW: death

I went back & forth on whether to write about this or not. I decided in the end to becuase it is very special not only to many fans of Spectrum, but to Spectrum as well. Dear My is a single that was released in September of 2018 & was dedicated to Dongyoon who ed away a few months prior. It was the last song he participated in & he also took part in writing the lyrics. The music video that the company made & dedicated to Dongyoon for this song is also beautiful & a very special moment which I recommend checking out as well; however, wanted to talk the live stage performance they did in October of 2018 because of how powerful it stands out to me.

I honestly did not expect to see a Dear My live stage. Seeing only six stand on stage for the first time really was like a punch to the gut. I appreciate that the stage set up is simple yet stunning where it gives it a really night sky in the clouds aesthetic without being over the top or adding anything unnecessary. It’s really fitting for this song & the feelings behind it. I also think it makes an impact that there is no choreography & the stand at center stage as they perform it. You can really feel the emotions & how they build up throughout the song especially with the way they lead up to Dongyoon’s part. The way the tilt their head down, close their eyes, or the change of expression, as we hear the audio recording of Dongyoon play always has me in tears. You can tell with their expressions just how difficult yet special this song is to them. You can hear the wavering of emotional in many of the voices which we don’t hear in the original recording. I think that’s part of what makes this performance even more touching because of the feelings it brings out & the rawness of emotions. For example you can really hear emotions coming through in Jaehan’s tone throughout the performance. The really sang this song with their whole heart especially the melody at the end. They all did so well & I will forever be proud of all of them, including Dongyoon.

It’s one of those moments that’s sad yet still has that glimmer of hope, comfort, & healing behind it. Even though Dongyoon isn’t here anymore his voice & the beautiful lyrics he wrote can still be heard in Dear My & for that I’m really grateful. Spectrum did an amazing job giving such an unforgettable & meaningful live performance for this gorgeous song.

gugudan (acapella moments)

Okay, so this isn’t one particular moment since Gugudan surely loved singing acapella & it’s hard to choose just one because every single time they sang acapella (whether on a show, live, clips, etc.) just brings me so much joy & overall appreciation for them. I still can’t believe just how amazingly talented these girls are. I mean singing acapella on your own can be difficult because but even more so as a group is not easy but they always managed to just blow me away every time. The vocal talent every single one of them has is just incredible. Each moment where they sang acapella just shines so brightly & deserved appreciation in my opinion. Their harmonizing is top notch, the vocal sounds the make to imitate a beat is so good, & the way their tones compliment each other so well really stands out. Their acapella renditions of songs already have such a dreamy & sometimes soulful quality to it that just makes me want to keep rewatching every acapella moment I can find of them.

My top favorite of their acapella moments would be them singing Part of Your World (from The Little Mermaid), DNA (originally by Little Mix), Candy Man (originally by Christina Aguilera) & of course their iconic waltz acapella preview of their song The Boots. In particular I want to talk a bit more about their waltz acapella version of The Boots. It was just a title preview & unfortunately there is no full version of it, but you know what I’m just happy we were able to get 1 minute & 40 seconds of pure art. It’s such a breath of fresh air. The way they took their more bright pop song & gave it a more soothing almost jazzy sound to it was genius. I actually dare to say that as much as I love The Boots, I love this version even more. Everything about it is just so perfect (beside it being so short :sob: ). It’s just so enchanting to listen to. Their voices blend together so smoothly & the musical tones the make are so impressive especially the lower more brassy sound one of the makes as well as the twinkling run of sounds that another member makes that reminds me of an xylophone. I just can’t imagine anything more perfect.

Even though I’m still not over the way they were mismanaged & that they had to disband in such a dissatisfying manner, I am glad they are able to leave so many amazing memories including their vocal queen acapella moments. They always looked so happy & like they were having fun as the slay it with their vocals. That’s the way I always want to this amazing group <3
