a tiny gift for his birthday

Hello and welcome, lovely people of KA!

I've held onto this edit forever, it's been

half done for the longest time as I kept

telling myself I'd complete it the next day

but chan's birthday finally gave me that

last push. Man, it's been so long since I

made an individual blog for chan, I think

the last time was in 2018, can't believe

it's been that long. Well, let's get into it!

At first I had some kind of house scenery for the background for this, but then I added so many random things in front that it ended up looking way too overwhelming, so I ultimately left the background plain black. I had some trouble with the composition because I had a specific kind of vibe in mind and it just wasn't working out. I pictured something where chan would be in focus while everything else was fading out, so I added motion blurs on all the pngs but then they just looked like blobs. After a mini mental breakdown on how to fix it I drew outlines on everything and I think that made it a little better? Idk. Anyways for chan himself, I had to do the enhancement bit on ibis paint x and it took HOURS. I hate manips. But I somewhat like how it turned out and above all, I managed to fit my neon colors agenda into it.

Details

It's been like a year since I made my last manip/enhancement, so all things considered, I'd say this was a success. It took a long time to make, and having to switch between ibis and ps is always so exhausting because I kept noticing details to fix, but I also loved the process. Anyways, I wish the happiest of birthdays to my brightest star.
