so, guess who finally watched all of the performances for the first round? :eyes: (excuding team 10 cause i couldn't find theirs for some reason) i originally wasn't planning on talking about it, but i just can't help it :weary: i won't talk about all of them, just some that really stood out to me. first though, i just wanna say that everyone really impressed me. you can tell that they were all live and that they put so much effort into their performance. and the eliminated groups should still be so proud of themselves because they seriously gave it their all and did amazing! and disclaimer, i'm only gonna watch the performances and not the actual show, so i might not have the full picture :warning:
so, for the eliminated groups 6 (aimers), 16 (romeo), 17 (wao) and 19 (daydream). romeo was so stable and impressive, i just don't get how they didn't make it through?? it just doesn't make sense to me :sob: i know that only a certain number of groups can make it through, but it seemed like they were eliminating on the spot, so it still confuses me.
anyways, moving on the daydream. they literally slayed. a lot of people were saying that the choreo wasn't hard, but imo they still did so well, and i actually really enjoyed the opening bit. apparently they're predebut (from the comments), so i'm definitely gonna be on the look out for their debut!
next is wao. i didn't know it was them at first but i have to say that they aren't so talented! i listening to their songs on the fire and fairplay and i absolutely am still in love with those songs! i really hope they get to release some new music :pray:
lastly is aimers. i knew about them since predebut days and i follow them a bit, but i actually didn't know that they were participating in this show until now :sob: first of all, they literally did so good despite the song being so difficult. i'm especially proud of seunghyun and eunjun because i knew them from spectrum 🥺 (apparently minjae participated, but was also eliminated). eunjun did the vocals so well and seunghyun impressed me so much with his rap verse :fire: and if you don't know aimers well, you should definitely check out their songs! they debuted in november with the mini album betting starts. the title track is fight inside, and there's an intro + 2 other tracks called nemo and colors. earlier this year, they released a single called fireworks and it's literally such a beautiful song :stars: anyways, please please please check them out because they are so precious <3
moving on is just some small comments about some groups. i'm definitely biased, but i'm mainly rooting for team 24 bc of heedo 🥺 he and gunmin have always been going on shows and trying to promote b.i.g, so i really hope they get this recognition. and watching their gbgb performance, holy molyy. jongup 🥵🥵 and they literally killed the rap parts :fire: :fire:
now, the most popular group is probably team 8 (if you didn't know, the group is dkb). but i'm honestly now arguing with that. they literally ate sooo hard. ateez's stuff is not easy, but they literally seemed to be enjoying the stage so much! i loved watching them. their energy is immaculate. i would cry if i had to perform after them.
team 14 (ghost9) also impressed me a lot. their vocals were so stable and they literally made it seem so easy even though it's not ?? i have a few of their songs, and i'm definitely gonna keep ing them after this.
now, team 20 (mont) was low-key insane. first off, i was surprised that it was them ?? like, ik i only have a song or 2 from them, but there was only 2 of them performing but they still took up the entire stage with their presence. so freaking good. i actually dislike the original song, but i think they did so much better. i don't really like jyp's voice and it always sounded like he was straining it. but they sang with ease and did better than the original imo.
next is team 23 (dgna). i've never heard of them before and it surprised me to see that they've been in the industry for a while. honestly though, they have quality vocals :100: idk how to explain it, but they're able to fill up the entire mic and they have a lot of sound when they sing. i really hope people are watching all the performances and judging/voting (at least somewhat) objectively, because these guys are so under the radar. i really hope they'll make it far cause they truly deserve it, especially after all these years. now, i also have to mention that the guy in the red suit really caught my eye :eyes: i also read a comment sayung that his name is park karam.
team 11! (vanner) not @ me being a clown and thinking it was a different groups 🤡🤡 anyways, their adore u performance was literally everything :weary: :weary: they did the vocals so well and they're so cute 🥰 i only know their songs form and upper, which are 2 powerful and fun songs, so this performance definitely showed me a different side of them! but whatever concept they do, they do it well :relieved:
now onto team 7 (masc). the freaking vocals holy moly :fire: :fire: literally perfect. and not to mention that it's so difficult to pull on nu'est songs. there was only 2 of them, but they did so amazing. the song really suited them well, and i hope that they keep going. apparently, these 2 aren't even the main vocalists of their group ?? and they're still so freaking good. like, how insane is that?
next is team 2 (ntx). i really need to check out their stuff bc i've heard abt them but never really bothered to hear their stuff. i feel like no mercy is such a difficult song to pull off well, so i was actually a bit nervous before watching, but they seriously did it justice :clap: their stage was so powerful !! and i was so impressed with the rappers too! you can tell that they were doing their best to fit the song and concept, but if wasn't in a strained way. they pulled it off so well and i may or may not have fallen in love 🤧
team 5 (atbo) and team 4 (bxb) didn't stand out too much tbh. but they still did enough to make me them. of course, they performed the songs so well and i was just vibing the entire time. team 5 did growl's choreo so well, and it was really satisfying to watch. team 4 did well to match the vibe of their song.
i could literally go on and on, but i'll stop here :sweat_smile: low-key wish tfn and to1 went on this show, but i'd probably have a break down if they got eliminated :skull: i'm literally already so sad when a group gets eliminated :pensive: imagine me if i actually took the time to watch the show and get to know them more ?? say bye bye to my mental state :skull: still, i'm looking forward to see what else the contestants have in store!
