Hello, hello, here comes the blog you all were probably expecting! Tragically, I know I'm late :broken_heart: In my time, his birthday was yesterday and 2 days ed in Korea. I'm also devastated that I didn't get to post with my friends, my fellow jusonfers, Kevin. But regardless, you should definitely check out their fanarts and although I have a much different style, I hope you enjoy my addition to the fanart for jus onf day!

Contrary to my usual late behavior, I did actually finish this a few days beforehand. But (a.) I didn't like it and (b.) I forgot what day it was yesterday. I convinced myself it was the 12th, even though I was hyper aware of the date when my friends posted by Korean time but... I guess this is what bad sleep schedules and deadlines do to you. As a solution to option (a.) I decided to make a second fanart! That's right, I have two complete (sketch) fanarts for you today :sunglasses: I ended liking it a bit more but I don't think my initial attempt was without merit so I thought it better to just share both! Without further ado... a special gift for one of the loves of my life, Lee Seungjoon from ONF :heartbeat: Happy birthday!

Also, I hope that my added watermarks aren't too obnoxious or distracting lol. I forgot to add my written signature (which would be unrecognizable to KA nonetheless bc my real name initials) and the event of my edits having been stolen recently. Gotta play it safe from now on.

Also terrible lighting as always, I have no clue how to combat this when I take my pictures so late in the night and have such dim room lighting.

For this one, I took strong influence from a Byu Byu album photo that I've actually been wanting to draw for a long time. His expression and overall look just captured me here. Unfortunately, I don't think that I portrayed it very accurately and I struggled a lot with trying to convey his downturned eyes while still looking like himself in my art style. I almost considered not posting for my man's birthday because I was initially so disappointed (a crime, I know) but my dad and the friends who I shared it with boosted my confidence! I showed it to my dad and without any hints at all, he asked me if it was J-us so I thought it must be decent enough if he could recognize it right away. Of course the fact I ult him and the hairstyle was a dead giveaway, it meant a lot to me to move forward.

Initially, I was going to draw this as a bust since the reference photo only shows him chest up. But I am always trying to challenge myself and I wanted to include him in not just a stagnant pose. So although I followed the picture very closely I took some liberties in how I perceived his position and clothing to look like outside of frame. He looks as though he was leaning on something so I included a block to add weight to the image as well as make sure it didn't look like he was awkwardly holding his hand at his hip. I used further reference to get the costume right of course, and I tried to include all of the details without getting too carried away. While I considered drawing the chains and details on the brooches I decided against it as it would be too much effort only to end up looking muddy. The body might be ever so slightly too small, but I enjoy how the folds in the pants came out. The background was very spontaneous, but the drawing looked very empty without it and the block he's leaning on looked goofy and out of place. I don't typically draw backgrounds at all but I felt it does enough to tie the drawing together. I'd like to color this because of his epic black and red hair; I sadly didn't have the time or patience at the moment. Maybe in the future!

This drawing came from me yesterday and I only finished it today, but I ended up liking it a lot more. Even though I became content with my prior drawing, I had already set my mind on making another because this is Lee Seungjoon onf off team leader, Juice, Jayers, THE JUS ONF; he deserves only the best. After seeing my friends artworks, I knew I had to give it another shot. I'm really glad I did though! I decided to draw something from Sukhumvit Swimming era seeing as it's my favorite era of his of all time, it's what made me fall for him. I'm a huge sucker for white/silver hair and THIS LOOK IN PARTICULAR????? Adorable. Stunning. Absolutely irreplaceable. It is one of the cutest stylings from him to this day what with his curly hair and half-on overalls. I think I did justice with these elements because I enjoyed drawing his hair and clothes a lot! Although I know a lot of artists who don't like the process of drawing hair or the folding of the clothes but it's one of my favorite parts. I think it's because I maintain a somewhat more 'simple' style, it gives me something more in depth to draw and do whatever I like.

Other than the hair and clothing, I used my references a lot more loosely and winged the pose. Besides his cute crooked smile, I knew I had to incorporate it from the selfie he took in this fit. Truly I think that this drawing is a lot more accurate to his features and especially exclusive to this look. Out of context it could probably as a random anime boy, but compared to the pictures there's a clear distinction.

As far as the pose goes, I wanted to do something more dynamic but I was uncertain how to incorporate that and everything I wanted to be visible based on the pictures I had. I didn't quite have a picture in my head yet, so if I could recreate this I would have tilted his head, readjusted his arm on the left, included some more general motion and made it less stiff looking etc. That all having been said, I'm happy enough with everything else that it doesn't bother me and it works as a general character profile. The hand especially, hands are a challenge even for veteran artists so I'm quite proud if I can say so myself. I even took a photo of myself doing a similar pose at the same angle to make sure everything was as anatomically correct as possible. kids, using references and mapping out your drawing is nothing to be ashamed of! You don't have to draw everything from memory! Anyways, I'm super happy with the result and glad I went through with the second drawing. If I were to color this, I would have to go back and draw the text(?) on his shirt because I didn't want to risk mes what I already had and I realized something. The picture I used the most to reference his clothes was inverted since it was a selfie thus the text was inverted as well. I considered adding it correctly anyways but decided the challenge was too big for the time being and the correction of the text might offset the other details of the drawing that were also drawn from the inverted perspective.

And for now, that's all! I am relatively happy with the results and even more with the fact I was able to make something for him this year. I was discontent last year as I made plans more than once to make a Seungjoon blog of any kind but I never went through with any of them. And I ed Fusecult right after so I missed their blog as well. So that's why it was really important to me to get something done for him this year! I'm sure it's well known by now, but Seungjoon is someone who's so important, he means more than the world to me. I love with all my heart and I truly and genuinely believe the best in him. With him in the military right now, I thought it would be even more important to appreciate him and keep him fresh in our memories for when ONF get back. I can only hope to do his countenance justice because a beautiful man like him is hard to portray just how stunning he is.

Although we didn't get to see him or share a live with him like usual, I hope that he got to celebrate with his new friends that I'm sure he's made in the army. If there is anything he's profound at it's collecting boyfriends lol. I'm sure that he got to spend time with Wyatt as well even if not the other ONF . I know the others were thinking of him and all of us were most certainly sending him love!
