today i’m here with a blog that should’ve been out nearly three weeks ago, yet sadly due to some unfortunate circumstances couldn’t be posted.

this is what would’ve been the igot7 team’s birthday tribute to our darling choi youngjae, and although it’s long overdue, we feel that everyday is an excuse to celebrate this beautiful soul, so here are our efforts into doing that. we hope you enjoy !!

coruscate; to reflect brilliantly, to sparke. I wanted to choose an unique word for Youngjae as he is an unique individual himself. When I first saw this word, my mind immediately flew to Youngjae since he is known as the sunshine of Got7. When he debuted, he didn’t get so much spotlight and love as the other , but slowly he started shining brightly and soon became very loved, I’m really grateful for that. Not only that he has such a healing, dazzling smile, but he also got a bright personality. His smile and laugh and brighten up my days every single time, his laugh really is contagious and he radiates positivity. Even in his darkest times, he is glowing. Youngjae is so positive and of course, there are times when he doesn’t feel like being positive, no one can do so. But even then, he shines brightly. He got such a warm aura. No doubt, he truly is the sunshine of the group, he brings some sunshine not only in my life, but his ’ lives and many other fans’ lives.

Humble, hilarious, healing smile... There are so many adjectives starting with “h” that perfectly describe Youngjae. However, ‘heavenly voice’ was the first thing that came to my mind. He, along with Jaebum, have proven to be incredibly outstanding main vocalists. I could listen to Youngjae’s honey-like voice all day and never get tired of it. It’s mainly the way in which he manages to deliver the right emotions when singing that will always leave me amazed. There’s just so much ion and endless affection beneath every heartfelt word that comes out of his mouth. Many people think that singing’s all about technique, breath control, high notes, among others. But in my case, I strongly believe that there’s no point in singing without an actual purpose, a meaning. What exactly is it that you want to express and share with your listeners? Youngjae does an exceptional job at pouring his heart out into each and every word that he sings. And I would like to mention his solo song, “Nobody Knows,” as one of the best examples. Overall, Youngjae’s singing is most certainly heaven to my ears. I really wish him the best birthday ever and lots of love, health, and much happiness ♡

youngjae is literally the sunshine itself. he gives major positive vibes and he is just so optimistic! i love how a single smile from him brings up the positiveness in the room. he tries his best to make sure everyone is happy and goes out of his limits to do so. he uses his beagleness to brighten up others and says his stupid yet funny jokes just to raise up good vibes. i love him so much for doing so! i always see him looking up for a better day and his optimism isn’t only for himself, but also shares it to others so they too, could be as optimistic as him :D

If you say my mans Youngjae isn’t adorable you are LYING! Youngjae is one of the most adorable humans to exist on this earth. He is everyone’s sunshine and no matter what he does he always makes me smile. I don’t think there was ever a day where Youngjae didn’t make me smile. All I have to do is just look at him and I’m smiling like an idiot. He is insanely adorable and we must protect him at all cost. Happy birthday cutie! :cupid:

one of the most iconic things the beautiful choi youngjae has brought us over the years is none other than his very own youngrish. in case you don’t know what that is, this is referring to youngjae’s english, which is so wonderfully important it deserves its own hybrid name. thus, i bring you youngrish. we’ve been brought the timeless moments of his linguistic skills including this is youngjae :sparkles: class :sparkles: , saying quite literally, “something nice” instead of something nice, and many other unforgettable moments that brought many a laugh to aghase’s faces, and we loved every minute of it. in all seriousness, it really is nice to international fans when an idol takes the time to learn another language to communicate with them, and got7 have always been a perfect example of that, very much including youngjae. his english speaking, no matter the level of the skill, will always be appreciated and loved by fans - not only as something to make us laugh but as something to cherish as a kind and heartwarming gesture. i for one am always amazed by people who can speak multiple languages; it really is the height of intelligence for me if someone can actually communicate in different tongues and juggle several ways to speak in their head, and seeing as not everyone ( including myself ) has the brains to be able to do that as effectively, it’s is something special when people like youngjae for example make a special effort to speak a new language. so thank you, youngjae, for all the smiles you brought us with your iconic lines and moments of youngrish, and thank you for the gesture of trying to learn too. there are many more reasons to celebrate this man as can be hopefully read in this blog, but for now i really hope he has the best birthday ever and that this year is full of good days for him. happy birthday youngjae :heartbeat:

Why not pair one super adorable being with another one? The comparison of Youngjae with an otter is one of the most endearing things ever. :sob: His charming features can easily be compared with one cute otter. His crescent moon eyes and chubby cheeks are the most alluring part of him and the most similar to an otters. I can vividly when he was given a otter hand puppet in a fansing, when I saw the photos I squealed so hard at how pure it was. 🥺 I can confidently say that otter YoungJae will forever be the most adorbs YoungJae. :revolving_hearts:

unique is being the only one of its kind , unlike anything else. and youngjae is literally the definition of the word ‘unique’. there are bunch of reasons why youngjae is unique. first of all his voice. its literally one in a million and i haven’t heard anyone with similar voice to his , neither to the way he sings , so thats why i can call it unique. i already mentioned his visuals , and they are pretty unique in my opinion as well. a visual king. what other is unique in him - the way he dresses , the way he acts , his personality & his humor. youngjae’s personality is so questionable sometimes but we all love him , don’t we ksjsksjs. he is such a softie , a dork , sometimes a satan , and a ive work of art. but thats what makes him special. his style looks different to me and its amazing in its own way. tbh everything youngjae does feels different from what i see from other artists and i really love that. i hope he continues to do unique music & performances. youngjae’s one of a kind and we shall appreciate him more :pensive: :heartbeat: .

natural beauty is something that looks the way it is. when we are not worried about wearing makeup , and still looking dazzling. just like youngjae. like , he’s one of the prettiest man in the kpop industry and y’all can’t change my mind. he’s even prettier when he’s not wearing makeup and is a visual king indeed. youngjae has these kind of visuals where you’ll fall in love with him by just looking at him. im not really accepting when people bias someone just because of their visuals just because i think their inside beauty is prettier , but im okay with it when its about youngjae cuz this man really has god looking face and i can spend hours on looking at pics of him. he is very beautiful the way he is and doesn’t need to change anything or i and the other ahgases will be sad. when it comes to beauty i could literally talk for hours , but somehow my brain isn’t working this time sksjsk , anyways the point of this is that youngjae is not just talented in many ways , but he is also a visual god and we should treasure his bare face more!!!

as many of you know, youngjae is a man of many talents and traits. but the one I’m going to be talking about is his smile. if any of you have been witness to his little beaming grin, you are aware of how beautiful it is, especially with every gleam of his smile you can just feel his authentic happiness. from his eyes closed in pure enthusiasm to his cute chuckle, his smile is truly his own and just so real. It’s one of those smiles that when he smiles, you smile. It’s so contagious and i find that really alluring about youngjae. even though he isn’t my bias, he was my bias wrecker when I first started stanning got7, and other than his beyond amazing voice, his pure smile and genuine aura of delight was just so attractive. yes, plenty of idols have beautiful and alluring smiles, but I really feel like youngjae‘s smile stands out. and all i can say is that I hope youngjae‘s life is full of happiness and smiles because he deserves the most. He’s igot7‘s sun and he needs to shine as brightly as he can.

youngjae is just right. in everything he does. he constantly gives everything he touches and puts his mind to such devotion and genuine care. it’s written in his very visible growth in confidence and refinement of his skills ever since he debuted. it feels like he’s definitely found himself musically and as an artist simply because he has worked so hard to show to everyone he deserves this, to prove to himself that he rightfully deserves his spot and he can do anything. it’s written all over the amazing music he produces on soundcloud. it’s written in his performance on king of the masked singer. it’s written in the way he pulls of dance routines with such professionalism and even when tired he pushes through to put on the best performances he possibly can. it’s written in the way he lovingly speaks about his and enjoys being in their company. it’s written in the way he loves and appreciates igot7’s. it’s written in his constant warm smiles and sincere laughter. our youngjae is just right the way he is and we wouldn’t trade him for the world. he’s always has been just right and he always will be. “so don’t change anything. don’t worry about anything, because I like EVERYTHING about you”.

being alacritous (alacrity) is to do things with cheerful readiness and eagerly. there’s something about youngjae when he performs, you can see he enjoys it. the ion inside him never leaves. he steps in the stage with alacrity, ready to show us what he trained for, ready to entertain us with cheerfulness and talent.

:ocean: ┊ *. 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝙀      ->     𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩                       ✩ * ·

e - exuberant - to be full of full of energy, excitement, and cheerfulness.

in just saying his name you can hear his honey like voice accompanied by his beautifully loud laugh in your ears, what kind of power does our boy have? we often refer to youngjae as sunshine but i don’t think we take that serious enough. youngjae’s very core is made up entirely of sunshine. his very existence is the reason the word exuberant was created. like, look too close and you’ll go blind (his smile is perfect evidence of this). come to think of it most of youngjae’s actions and mannerisms are exuberant but i LOVE watching the got2day episodes with youngjae in them. they’re full of nostalgic moments and memories for the boys and those always set off my favourite seal claps, leg stamps and energetic but oh so warm and friendly arm punches. even when our youngjae is tired from working so incredibly hard he still remains cheerful, constantly motivates his by laughing at their corny jokes and is practically the only hype man they need , cheers ahgases up with his witty, sweet and expertly thought of statements (see section youngrish) and just never fails to inject an always much needed and deeply appreciated energy into the atmosphere. i promise a single smile from our cheerful man really makes you coo in iration AND adoration.

that’s it for our youngjae appreciation/birthday blog !! as much as we regret not being able to post this on his actual birthday, it’s still very important to us that youngjae is celebrated and loved EVERY day of the year, and we hope our words of affection help to show that enough.

i hope youngjae had the most amazing birthday possible and was surrounded by his loved ones. he gives us fans so much; i hope he was able to receive something back on his birthday. i look forward to what this year brings for him and hope it’s as fulfilling as it possibly can be. finally i hope everyone reading this is having a good day - thank you for checking out our blog. see you in the next one !! :heartbeat:
