well for me, I always try experimenting with new styles and by getting inspiration from different edits. I don't really keep one editing style because I enjoy trying different techniques which I can also use when I want to combine styles. Other than experimenting and getting inspo from different editors, I also learn from from other editors. Maybe I'm lacking at some areas and maybe there's a certain part of my edits that look nice and I should try to import more into my future edits. is always important so you can know what to do and what not to do. But the important thing is that you don't put yourself under pressure for improvement to impress others but more of the fact that you're doing it for yourself and that you're still enjoying it. When I started editing, I was really a noob but as I continued doing it for 2 years, my editing had evolved and I can see the improvement! By practicing or doing more of it, there will be a change and there's never a limit to improvement ♡

everyone is a beginner in their life so was
i and so was everyone . on my opinion my
my latest edit would be the best of my ed
its or it can also be some edits which I ha
d done before . . . but compared to my firs
t edit and the latest ofc my latest one will
be more better ,, I would also like to say th
it just doesnt come out of practice but pas
sion and patience . I have ed ibis
for about 3 times ,, and the third time was
when I had successfully made a edit on ibi
s at that time I valued my edit so much ,, i
n the first time I got so angry and frustrate
with ibis and deletd it the , the same thing
happend on my second attempt too ! but o
n the third attempt I got the hang of it and
started editing ,, but still I wanted to know
how people edit so beautifully but then I w
as very shy to ask ,, to improve your edits I
t doesnt matter how shy you are , want you
r edits to come out the way you wished ? a
sk people for tips , as beginner we wont be
able to to do all the stuff in the start ,, so to
start off ,, check out some tutorials dont un
derstad them ? then they it out on your own
I was also the person who couldn't understa
nd tutorials so I tried it out on my own ,, by p
lacing a png making layers above and below
it ,, then I started trying out fx one by one and
I got it ! I swear I didnt even know how to upl
oad a png on ibis paint x sksksk ,, getting ins
pired is also one of the factors to improve yo
ur edits ! that doens teena you have to copy t
he whole edit but chekcnout how the person
has placed the pngs , where the person have
placed their overlays ,, and also get a list of t
he best font recommendations there r lot of
blogs out there to help us on fonts ,, but we s
hould also make sure it doesn't look weird ...
and the another step is psds,, this is just opt
ional ,, in most of the edits adding a psd to it
makes the colour even ,, and the main thing
to improve is to work on colour scheme ,, I d
idnt really know about colour schemes and p
sds when I was a beginner ,, but then after c
hecking out people's edits ,, and all of them
used a colour scheme so I tried it out too ! a
nd it turned out quite good .
and omg tsym so much :sob: :revolving_hearts:
this surprised me sksksksk thank you picking me uwu
and for the answer to this question: what do you do to improve your editing skills?
firstly, i would edit a really simple edit and then i would practice that specific edit until i get the hang of it along with the app ( if the app i used is new to me ). all i have to do is practice it until i know what to do and get to freely edit that specific editing style / technique that i was once before not familiar of
i would like to make an example for this. the example i would like to use is manip edits. i don't know anything about it. i don't know how to do it or what right brushes to use. some tutorials wasn't helping so i tried it out myself. i played with the brushes and tried it on the subject i want to do a manip of. at first of course, it was hard because i'm not familiar with the editing style. i always mess up the smudging process and i don't know how i can enhance the edit, but as i practice, i'm slowly getting the hang of it even though i'm still new to it and having the same style over and over i know that once i know what to do, i can improve it then i can have my creativity work so i can do more on manip edits than i did when starting off.
