Hello hello! I hope everybody's weekend has been wonderful! I was inspired to create a piece of art that has an unusual theme compared to what I usually draw!
I wanted to dive deeper into Hotaru's personality: specifically, her repressed rage. This anger from Hotaru's tragic life has built up for years, and it's only when others close to her heart are in peril that her anger comes out. It's primal, but she let's that anger guide her into decision-making when in combat.
While I will not specify why she is in such a state of anger, people who have read the manga AND Hotaru's fate know about who she faces off against. I LOVE the intimidation behind this drawing!

Or she could be preparing in a battle and if she's in Hotaru rage, she spends her preparation digging her enemy's grave
