༺.:❀ How did you get into K-pop?

My high school had a dance concert and they performed both Whistle and Boombayah by Blackpink! That was my introduction to k-pop in 2016, after that I listened to some songs my friends would send me like Mamamoo and BigBang. I didn’t fully get into k-pop until 2018 after I heard Bboom Bboom by Momoland!

༺.:❀ Who are some of your favourite artists or groups?

My ults are got7, pentagon, vixx, twice, and monsta x! I also really like chungha, le sserafim, somi, and new jeans.

༺.:❀ How has K-Pop impacted your life?

Kpop has given me a really fun hobby! I started collecting, going to concerts, and even watching shows including kdramas and survival shows. It also gave me a way to make new friends which has been awesome.

༺.:❀ How do you pick your biases?

My biases usually end up being whoever I’m most attracted to both visually and personality wise.

༺.:❀ Do you have an unpopular K-Pop opinion?

bts’s music has become too mainstream, their old music was 10x better than dynamite, butter, and permission to dance

I knew that a friend of mine listened to kpop and I stumbled upon fire of Bts one day. Since I knew she knew of them I asked her some questions and here I am now, a obsessed multistan.

༺.:❀ Who are some of your favourite artists or groups?

I stan sooo many groups and I want to stan many more in the future. But at the moment it's definitely

The Boyz, Seventeen, Ateez, Skz, VeriVery, Monsta X, NCT, Enhypen, TNX and probably Xdinary Heroes. If you're interested to see all the groups I stan then you can find them in my "stan list" wiki! :D

༺.:❀ How has K-Pop impacted your life?

It helped me through a very dark time and I started to think differently about music. Before I mainly listened to 80s or other older songs because new music never catches my interest...kpop on the other hand has everything I love in music.

I was always a very creative perosn but it opened me new ways to express it and I also started collecting pcs (lightly)

what I always tend to say:

You don't pick your bias, your bias picks you.

because this is so true for me. I start getting into a group, maybe because of one certain member...but I mostly end up biasing the member I would've never thought I would bias, haha. So I don't really "pick" my bias, it just happens, haha.

༺.:❀ Do you have an unpopular K-Pop opinion?

I had to think about this for a hot minute.

1. K-Bands deserve sooo much more recognition and love!! There are soo many good bands with bangers out there, don't sleep on them

2. Self producing or composing groups/idols will always have a top spot in my heart.

3. I didn't like Bts' "Dynamite, Butter, ptd, boy with love"

My neighbor who's like my best friend introduced me to BlackPink which quickly threw me into a rabbit hole! I ended up finding Twice, Red Velvet, Itzy, Stray Kids, Aespa and more!

I love Seulgi I met her over zoom!! She taught me the 28 reasons dance so that was amazing! I also like black pink, aespa, Chungha, Stray Kids, etc.

I've grown to learn a lot about different communities and cultures and its super fascinating! It's also helped me through some dark times and I'm the happiest I've been sense I've publilicaly allowed myself to stan and not be afraid of what others think

Usually someone I have something in common with, typically dancers of the groups tend to be my favorites but also if I just find them the most intresting

An animated dance of Jennie's Solo. I liked the song and wanted to find the lyrics because I couldn't understand what was being said. Found that they were in Korean, so out of curiosity I looked up the og video and it all went downhill from there :sweat_smile:

Right now I've been listening to a lot of Stray Kids and NMIXX. But overall, I'd say EVERGLOW, TRI.BE, ONEUS, TXT, and LE SSERAFIM

I honestly don't know, some of them are who I found the prettiest, some are who I found the funniest or most relatable, some are based on their vocals or dancing skills.

༺.:❀ Do you have an unpopular K-Pop opinion?

Virtual groups aren't that big of a deal. I see so many people bashing MAVE:, SUPERKIND, PLAVE, etc, and there's no need for it? Like there's still people behind these virtual characters, they aren't completely AI. I don't think there's a danger of these kind of groups taking over either. I've seen people say that if you don't want to be seen, then don't be an idol, which I completely disagree with. If I were to be a kpop idol, this is how I would want to do it. People wouldn't be able to bash my looks, or criticize my personal life, and I wouldn't get harassed at airports or have stalkers. But I'd get to do what I love and sing and dance. I get why it's not for some people, and that's fine, but there's no need to bash, panic, and freak out either.
