Let's Break The Ice !!

Introduction

Heyoo and welcome to my post! In order

to introduce myself to you even better

and to literally break the ice between

you and me, here is my participation in

the Icebreaker Challenge! I think Ice-

breaker Challenges are nice and useful

anyway, because they help you get to

know each other better within a Com-

munity. But now that I am a Curator

here (on a trial basis), I thought it was

about time I introduced myself to you

better. So, do you want to get to know

me even better? Well, then let's go and

1. What do you want to be called and

what are your pronouns?

You can all call me Keno! My pronouns

are He/Him.

2. Where are you from? (Continent or

country if you’re comfortable sharing!)

I'm from ! My mother tongue

is German, but I also speak English flu-

ently. My time zone is CET.

3. How did you get into k-pop? How long

have you been into k-pop?

Phew, it's been many years since I first

heard about KPop and became a fan. If

I correctly, the first KPop

group I heard was Cross Gene. After

that, I listened to KPop songs every

now and then, but more subconsciously

than consciously. I can't even say ex-

actly when I became a "real" fan and

started listening to more and more K-

Pop. But it probably happened sometime

between 2014 and 2015. I

that I kept it a secret for a long time

because unfortunately there was a lot

of hate around KPop in our school. But a

few years later, after I found people

who also liked KPop and after I made my

girlfriend addicted with it (>:3), I be-

came more public about it.

4. What groups/soloists do you stan?

I listen to a lot of groups and solo ar-

tists, it would be too much to list them

all here in the challenge entry. I might

do that in a separate post or wiki soon!

Anyway, I almost only listen to boy-

groups and male solo artists. I really

tried to get to know girlgroups as well

as female solo artists, but all the ones

I listened to were absolutely not my

thing. I don't want to cause hate, I'm

not saying they're bad! But in most ca-

ses they simply don't suit my taste.

5. What’s your ult group/idol?

To be honest, I don't have anything like

that. Sure, there are groups I prefer to

listen and I like some idols more than ot-

hers, but I've never settled on a single

group or idol. But I usually have one or

more biases in the groups I listen to, but

listing them all here would be too much

haha. I might also create a bias list here

in addition to a list of groups and artists

I like to listen to.

6. What is your favorite k-pop song at the moment?

I have to say, if there's one thing I've ne-

ver been able to do, it's choose a favorite

song. There are so many that I like! I es-

pecially like the songs that are fast and

have a lot of bass! The ones that you can

really party to! What I really don't like to

listen to are slow, quiet songs.

7. Do you have a favorite k-pop generation?

No, to be honest I don't have one. I like

songs and albums from all generations, I

couldn't decide on just one.

8. Is there anything you want to see in this community?

I would like to see this community as ac-

tive as possible, with lots of entertain-

ment for all the here. But it is

even more important to me that this re-

mains a peaceful, safe place where all

can talk about KPop to their

heart's content.
