K-pop just stands for KOREAN POP !

It became incredibly popular globally in the last decade .

It consists of incredibly good looking Korean idols ( or foreigners ) who spend years to train in order to be one of the few who get success an become an idol .

Idol = a singer celebrity

Trainee = a person who trains to become a K-pop idol

How did it become so successful?

Kpop first appeared on the music scene

way back in 1992 with group SEO TAIJI AND BOYS !

However, is 'Gangnam Style' by Psy, which spawned a viral internet dance craze in 2012.

This made everyone be interested especially in Korea . Later on more popular groups started gaining lots of success outside korea like EXO and then later on BTS and BLACKPINK.
