Hello my lovelies! This is going to be a tutorial split into different tiers on how to role play! If you are new to role playing, this will be perfect for you! The tier levels are as follows:
Part 1: Beginning
Part 2: Learned
Part 3: Sharpening your skills
••Part One: Learning the Basics••
The basics of role playing involve several steps, or qualities, that every beginner role player needs to know. These qualities (or items of importance) are:
A Character - A character is someone (or maybe even something) that you imagine yourself as the role of in a role play. A character can be original (of your own creation) called an "Original Character" or OC for short, OR it can be a fan based character from a show, movie, book, or franchise that you like. Either accepted. A tutorial on how to create your own Original Character will be linked at the end.
A Genre - A genre is a Type of role play. It's similar to a genre of book, show, or movie. It describes the basics of what will be happening in the plot. For example: A Supernatural plot will hint at vampires, werewolves, etc.
A Plot - A plot is what happens in the role play. You can role play without one if you just want to "roll with it" but many advanced role players use plots to keep track of the story. I will link examples of each of these from my personal page below.
