Guide; How to use ACM [UPDATED!]

Howdy! My name is Iris, a member of this lovely community. I made this guide back in 2018, two years ago! I have decided to update it because multiple people have asked, and honestly, it’s really outdated. I hadn’t realized how many times this had been featured, viewed, and actually used. I currently do not lead any Aminos, only Curate, so I have made an example Amino. This guide gives a basic introduction of ACM for new Leaders. Curators do not have access to ACM. :sparkling_heart:

For people that are wondering, this is exactly the same as the old Guide, I only updated the photos and some of the names for different features because they are different now. If you see any mistakes, please tell me! I am not perfect and this blog is huge. I also kept the cover image the same because that’s very iconic. :pensive: :ok_hand:

Enter the ACM app. Once in the ACM front page, click the Amino that you are going to edit.

D A S H B O A R D

After you have clicked your Amino, you will get a screen that will be the “front page” of your Amino in ACM.

On the Dashboard page, there are the options for changing the theme of your Amino, changing the launch image, options to inviting , and couple of other options to decorate your Amino.

The last button, all the way to the bottom, is the button to get listed. Sadly, the only way to get listed is for your Amino to have existed for at least 14 days, having more then 15 Daily Active , and your Staff must be active. After you have completed all, you may submit your Amino and TA will take normally about 2 days to review it. One an Amino has been listed, it can no longer be unlisted. This is permanent. You may no longer change the name of your Amino either.

As you look around at the page, you may discover that at the bottom of the screen there are buttons to go to different slides. You might wonder, “What are they for?” “What does each do?” Let me explain.

C U S T O M I Z E

Next is the Customize Page

On the Customize Page, you can decorate your Amino by making the description, change the Amino name, and couple of more features that are pretty straight forward. I will explain all the features but very vague since there is too much to talk about each.

M O D U L E   P A N E L

The Module is pretty simple. It’s where you manage what kind of posts are allowed and restricting posts. You may also disable and enable levels, VIP, and curating wikis. You may disable Modules if you don’t think it would be good for your community.

N A V I G A T I O N   P A N E L

The Navigation is where you can order or reorder the side s (like the posting categories on the left hand side of your screen when you view your profile). You may also organize your homepage Amino categories like the Featured posts, Latest posts, and so on.

A P P E A R A N C E   P A N E L

The Appearance is just what it sounds like! It’s where you manage how your Amino is displayed. It includes the icon of your Amino and the theme (background) of it.

G E N E R A L   P A N E L

Next is the General . Here is the main part. It’s where you can change the name of your Amino, tagline, description of your Amino, and the language of your Amino. Also, the “Leader Picks” are Amino’s that Leaders will hand pick. Normally, leaders add Aminos they think are related to their Amino or Amino’s that they’re Amino was inspired by. s that look at the Amino will be able to see Leader Picks at the bottom of your description.

Finally, the is just and help from Team Amino.

Next, we have the Slide.

This slide is mostly Guidelines, , and broadcasts.

B R O A D C A S T   P A N E L

First, the Broadcast . The broadcast is just to broadcast (sends a message to everyone which includes , Curators, and Leaders) an important message that you want everyone to get. You also MUST add a link (post or wiki) that relates about your broadcast. If you don’t add one, Amino won’t let you broadcast it.

Next is the Features . All that contains is the Guidelines and the Welcome message.

After that , is the . It really just has all your banned , new , and all that are in your Amino. If you have a private Amino then you will use the “ Requests” and accept the forms of that you think deserve to be in your Amino..

Finally, it is Management Team !

Here you can see all your leaders, curators, and the that haven’t accepted the role of a Curator or Leader. A deeper explanation of a pending role is like when you promote a member to a Curator or Leader, then they will be in the list of “Pending Roles”, if they haven’t accepted the role yet. You may also view who is Curator, Leader, and the Agent.

One thing to keep in mind...

You might see that some of your leaders or curators have this :warning: . That is OK. It’s just means they didn’t provide Amino both their phone number and email. This :white_check_mark: means that they entered both phone number and email.

S T A T S

Last slide is... Stats!

Stats is a pretty simple . It shows your daily active , monthly active , and amount of posts. It also shows overall time spent on the Amino. But that’s the Overall tab. Now to the Moderation tab.

Here is where you can see what your Curators and Leaders Moderation History and their minutes spent on your Amino.
