How to use the form properly

I'm popping in shortly from my hiatus to bring you all a post on how to properly use the form as I do still see people complaining the form doesn't work.

The Form

The Form is an official form by Team Amino to report problems such as bugs, glitches, power abusive leaders and who deserve super bans (for posting sexual content, harassment, bullying, basically breaking the worst guidelines).

When NOT to use the form

For Personal Grudges

The form isn't to report personal grudges. An example could be that you got banned from a community because you broke guidelines. However, you blame the person for abusing his/hers powers to ban you. You resort to file a form report in hope to get revenge against that leader. However what you do not keep in is that Team Amino will NOT bother to handle personal grudges. It's fairly obvious when someone has a personal grudge, as this person does not have actual prove of powers being abused at all. Team Amino can look in the moderation history, see what people posted and commented, and easily see who here was wrong.

For Fun

Please people, don't use the form for fun. Team Amino recieves hundreds of reports each day and have to go through all of them. Don't spam the box full with fake reports, it'll only take longer for real problems to be delt with.

For False Reports

False Reports is something Team Amino gets all the time. Some person tells another a story, completely twisted and untrue, and tells the person to "help" by filing in a report. At some point, Team Amino recieves tens of reports on the same thing which turns out to be false. Not only is it unnecessary to report one problem a bunch of times, it's also false so Team Amino won't even look into it.

For matters within the Team

This may have happend to you. You were a co-leader, and the leader* ends up deciding to demote you to curator over certain actions you've taken. You find this unfair and file a report. But what do you expect to happen? That Team Amino will give back your position? No, of course not. You didn't get banned, the leader* didn't abuse powers nor broke guidelines, there is literally no problem but you making it a problem. The only way to get your title back is by earning it back. Starting to threaten your leader* to demand your title back or you'll report him/her is useless, doesn't get you anywhere and even makes you look worse. A good leader would not threaten anyone. Amino only handles serious things, not something small as in your eyes an "unfair" demotion.

When to use the form

For Bugs and Glitches

Did you find something not working properly? Amino constantly crashing for you? Then you need to use the form! Amino finds it very important to smash all bugs and make Amino running smoothly for all it's . So when you find something not working properly, then it's time to use the form. And , screenshots help a ton!

For Power Abusive Leaders

The Amino App has been out for rougly a year now, and ACM soon as well. That means most of us have encountered a power abusive leader by now. Someone who bans people for fun, strikes for nonsense and plays games with it's team like "who can disable the most posts in a minute". When you encounter such a leader, it's time to pull up the form. Power abusive leaders can bring down communities fairly quickly, so it's best to report asap.

To Report Someone who needs a Super-Ban

Sometimes you have those people that just come to Amino to make trouble. It's their sole purpose. They go from Amino to Amino just to post sexual content for example. They get banned and banned over and over again but they just either move on to other communities or delete their and return. This is where you use the form. Report the person who needs a super ban! Amino likes to be troll-free, so let's help them out!

If a community has no leader*

It happens, Team Amino messes up by removing or even super banning a leader* and doesn't find a proper replacement for him. There is now nobody in the community who can set up a new team. Trolls start to invade the community, so it's time to take action. Report the community in the form so Team Amino can set a new leader* in place so the community can run smoothly again.

Facts about the Form

Team Amino does NOT you

People always seem to assume or expect Team Amino to respond to every problem by messaging the member who submitted the problem. This is however untrue. Team Amino does not message you regarding a problem you submitted. They have to do with what you submit. So be as detailed as possible when reporting a bug or person, because they won't come to you for these details.

The Form isn't your only solution

Before going to the form, try to seek the solution yourself. We're all quick to grab the form and file a report and wait. But sometimes, you don't even need the form. Try asking around in the community here if someone else has a tip or trick for you how to handle something. Team Amino isn't like your parents, they won't solve all your problems, try to solve them yourself first. Seek help here first. The form should be your last resort.

Filing the form more then once doesn't help

Don't worry! You don't need to report the same problem over and over again. It just gives them more reports to go through, it doesn't help at all! The less reports they get, the faster they can get through them. So don't spam the form over and over again. If you want to be sure, you can always try 2 weeks later again. But don't send in the same problem 10 times in a week because they don't immediately fix your problem.

Screenshots are very important!

When filing your form, screenshots are key! If you file a report without screenshots, it can happen they can't help you because they don't know fully what's going on. You can try to explain the best you can but without examples or proof it's a no-go for Team Amino. So install Imgur, learn how to use it, so when you need the form you can use it properly!
