Managing Scamming Problems - Amino Guide

Scamming Issues have been a primary problem for many communities.

That is an issue everyone pretty much has. But sometimes there is a way to keep it in a organized manner. With the power of your people, and Team. I am TSN, and welcome back to another guide for Amino. Today we are going to be covering the aspect of Community Scammers.

Why are they called Scammers?

Recently, they have been sending messages of links. Which lead to surveys, which lead to products on malicious websites. Also that they are wanting to Trick s. Who are potential to fall for their tricks. But make sure to do the following steps, to have a calm community. Also have a good foundation throughout the entire situation.

Make Sure to Flag Them, and Ban Them

It seems not normal. Flagging primarly is the way to get Amino on your side. Because if you have realized. They sometimes ban or either delete someones Chat Messages. You can see them commit the action in the Moderation Tools, but s are limited to access what Amino does in the community.

Make an Immediate PSA

Sometimes making a nice little Public Service Announcement helps. Most of the time, alot of people panic because of what people thought their background was, scammers and virus givers. People are afraid of getting viruses, and losing their Privacy. So making the PSA clarify what the situation, and some Internet Safety Tips, can for sure solve the entire issue!

Begin Banning, and Checking Flags

Within your PSA, make sure to add that your s need to flag them. So when you find flags. Ban them. We aren't sure if the recommendation is to leave it alone. But taking action is the best in these situations. Because they begin spreading. They all continue doing it from the Host. So make sure to do that meanwhile. Anyways,that's the main step on dealing with it.

Set Expectations for Your Team

Tell them what shall not be done during these situations. If someone messages them, easily tell them to flag them. So you can find it within the Flag Center. Besides, set expectations with Curators and Co Leaders, for easy elimination, but to mantain your community calm.
