Hey guys it's me the brick boss here and today will be taking a look at the Spidey and Friends Wave 4 honestly I'm looking forward to taking a look at them this wave is a dinosaur wave which is quite nice it's a lot different from what we're usually used to for Spidey and Friends. Honestly we have some interesting vehicles a new villain so there's a lot to take a look at in this way so I'm looking forward to taking a look at each set there is a total of three sets we're going to be taking a look at today so without further ado let's take a look at our first set spin and electro dinosaur vehicle Chase
this set has two minifigures spin and electro. First build I want to talk about is the small tree build with a little container inside to hold a gem that electro has stolen. Next we have electro's dinosaur bike where it does have lightning coming off of it it is in the yellow and green color scheme which is quite nice as well. I think they did an amazing job building this bike it is a very simple build but has a lot of detail with the prints on it I do think they did a decent job on it overall and definitely a great build to add to a Marvel collection. Now when we get to Miles vehicle it does use the Young dragon Riyu head in black with a Spider-Man print on it which is quite interesting it's a piece I never thought would go into any other things but the Ninjago theme but it is nice to see it's being used in a different way. A nice thing as well is the spikes in the red and the tail which I am going to assume this is a Stegosaurus vehicle because of the miles stegosaurus piece that comes in a different set will be looking at a little later on in this review. But if that is then I definitely think they did an amazing job on transforming that into an actual vehicle that he can ride in a smaller set. But that's all I have for this. This set has 124 pieces and retails for $24 Canadian. Next set we're going to be taking a look at it his team Spidey Dino crawler rescue
this set has two minifigures Spidey and spin and two dinosaurs ghost pterodactyl and a triceratops. The first build I do want to talk about is the Spidey truck which is just a beefy looking truck with a Spider-Man face on it it does look quite nice with the new green web on the back probably to transport dinosaurs to different places. There's also a crate that you can have tools and a gem in for so it's basically a place where you can just put accessories and I assume you can also put that in the back of the truck as well. The other build for this is a small mountain filled where there is a small ladder that allows you to get up to the very top where there is a boulder which I assume can be knocked over and thrown at the Spider-Man truck. There is also a hidden egg underneath a rock as well. Another feature of this set is it does come with a poop piece which I can only imagine why because of dinosaurs I think they did a very decent job on this one and definitely looks very nice for what it is. And this set also does use two of those green Spider-Man pieces the other one is used for a hidden entrance which might be a cave or something. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This set has 136 pieces and retails for $39 Canadian. Last set we're going to be taking a look at is Spidey and Gobby's Raptor battle at treehouse headquarters
this set comes with two minifigures ghost spider and trapster and three dinosaurs the Spider-Man Raptor the Green goblin Raptor and the stegosaurus. First build I want to talk about is the disc shooter which is just a couple pieces on a green plate that allows the stegosaurus to shoot discs at the Green goblin raptor. The next build we have is trapsters helicopter which does have a decent little build Ford I don't this character in Marvel specifically but it does look like it turned out very well it is made up of the color scheme of gold and purple which seems to be her color scheme. It does not have any Play features other than the clip on the back allowing ghost spider 2 attach the spider web to trap the trapster. Next we have the new Spidey headquarters for this year which is a dinosaur version it has a dinosaur skull on it with two dinosaur hands on either side of the entrance. We also do have a dinosaur egg I would presume inside of the headquarters as well. You have a couple different ladders leading up to the second floor where there is binoculars and on the other side there's nothing. And at the very top you have the printed piece with all three of these spider people's. Honestly this is pretty stock standard we do get pretty much a Spidey and Friends base pretty much every year so this year is nothing new. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This set has 143 pieces and retails for $69 Canadian. Now let's move on to my final thoughts on this wave.
Honestly this wave was a pretty odd one again for Spidey and friends this isn't anything new but the Jurassic world type feel for this is nice especially for the dinosaurs for Spider-Man and Green goblin will work really well with the venomsaurus that came out a few years ago. So I do look forward to adding that into a Marvel display in the future. Honestly these are all four plus sets so if you're not typically into this type of thing this wouldn't be a recommendation at all but if you're interested in adding to your Marvel dinosaur collection if you do have that original venomsaurus then this maybe a wave you may want to get or you may want to Brick link the dinosaurs and be able to add them to your Marvel Jurassic world collection that we're slowly starting to get.
