Otherkin
are a subculture who socially and spiritually identify as not entirely human. Some otherkin claim that their identity is genetic while others believe their identity derives from reincarnation, trans-species dysphoria of the soul, ancestry, or metaphor. Joseph P. Laycock considers the belief to be religious.
Experience in the community
I've been active in the community for around 2 months now and so far it's been pretty nice. I met a few otherkins so far, and they're amazing!
Keep in mind, do NOT question their beliefs. They won't like it. Asking someone about their past and/or questioning them in a negative way WILL result in you getting hated. But again, it's basic social interaction skills. Just stay nice :dizzy:
Meditation
Many Otherkins meditate. They usually do it to connect more to their kin or just to understand what happened in the past. Spiritual beliefs are hard to explain and describe
My Dragonkin
Personally, I'm a Dragonkin. That means I believe that I got a spiritual connection to the dragon I saw in my dreams. I don't know what it's name is, only what it looks like. It's an aqua blue ocean dragon. It got head and chest fins with ears like a night fury and webbed claws. I personally can't help but want to know more about that dragon... I hope I get to know more in the future! :dizzy: :dragon:
