2021 was a roller-coaster for a lot of people. I've grown the most from these two years then I have ever before. If you don't know me already I am Juno, and I am 16 years old. And today, I will be talking about my 2021 experience.

How would you describe 2021 went for you?

2021 was long, hard, and stressful. It started not so great, started to feel much better during the summer, but then got worse again. I had a close friend to help me the entire time, who would become my partner in June. I was a lot more experimental with my gender and pronouns. I also got my hair cut to a length I wanted. I know 2021 was rough, just like 2020 was and just like 2022 probably will be. But there were good moments too, which is exactly what I'm hoping for in this new year.

What is one thing you would change about the year?

I think I should've taken less responsibilities, even if I was able to handle them at the time. I was able to manage them but it still gave me more stress among other things.

Do you feel like you lived 2021 to its full potential?

I think the summer of 2021 was one of my best summers, but I wish I was able to carry that to the rest of the year. I wish I would've rode my bike more often, or maybe gone on a drive. I don't think I lived it to its full potential, but I did try my best, and I think that's what counts.

What are your favorite moments of 2021?

My favorite month of 2021 was June, because that month was filled with my happiest moments. I went to my little brother's baseball games, I swam in a pool with my then friend, my then friend became my romantic partner, I got a bunch of good photos. I loved June, and really was filled with all my favorite moments.

Do you have a least favorite moment?

My least favorite moment of 2021 was probably around Christmas time. It sounds sad but that was when my aunt had the most of dogs and when I was also rather busy. When I wasn't doing work, I was helping my aunt, and when I wasn't doing that I was doing chores or eating. It was hard. Only on Christmas Eve did I finally get a break, and thinks have calmed down a lot from there.

What will you aim to make different in 2022?

I would like to spend less time working and making sure to have Christmas break feel a lot more like a break.

Do you have a New Years resolution?

To get better at art! It sounds a little bland but I know it won't be so easy. My plan is to draw more, using how-tos and just going off of one complete image. I'm especially hoping to improve how I draw people and animals.

What were some of your biggest achievements of 2021?

- Getting a 100 on a hard assignment which I wrote 11 pages for

- Not having failed any college level classes yet

- Cleaning my room and changing the layout

- Earning my own money

- Painting a stool and it turning out great
