reminder that putting a trigger warning is essentially useless if you don't specify what it's about. for example, if you write a post about sensitive topic 1, but don't include sensitive topic 2, then putting a trigger warning without specifying that it's only no.1 mentioned tells people nothing. nobody knows if they can/cannot read it.

I suffer with quite a bit of suicidal thoughts and depression but to me "trigger warnings" Are something to protect a crybaby's feelings when they can't adjust to the real world.

Excuse me? So you're saying RAPE victims are just edgy teenagers? SUICIDAL people don't know how the real world works? And ya know What?

SOME people just don't want to hear about it, it makes them sad and mabey the huh, imagine this, don't want to be sad. It doesn't make them weak, it just means they dont want to know about strangers problems atm.

As someone who has MDD, when you don't give me a heads up about mentions of suicide it hurts me. Because I hate hearing about something that is traumatic to me.

Same. I had very deep, almost suicidal depression at one point and I hate TWs.
