All-Nighter

The light from the morning sun shines through onto my face, pulling me from the terrors of the night. Damn it, I was up all night again. I run my fingers through my hair, it’s damp from my cold sweats. I ground myself a bit before standing up to stretch. The house seems quiet on days like these. I check the time, 6 am, it’s early. Or maybe it’s late, I still haven’t slept. Maybe tonight will be better. Maybe I’ll sleep peacefully and I’ll greet the morning sun instead of it greeting me. Time will only tell.

I’m tired.
