Lighting up the midnight skies

Nothing else could shine so bright

Yet I'm torn by fear

Of losing the person I hold so dear

And what do I do?

What comes next?

I have no clue

My eyes met his pain

I wanted to take it all away

To help him through another day

Where we can keep memories at bay

All I want is for you to never leave

I don't want to feel this pain

I don't want to feel the grief

Would you give me another dance in the rain?

Because his eyes were like diamonds

And he lit up my life

And all I could dream of

Is being by his side
