  many stars, with gas,

dust, and dark matter.❜

                                     from the Greek word galaxia

                                     meaning milky, a reference

                                to our own galaxy, the Milky Way.❜

  ❛There are various type of galaxies:

elliptical,spiral and lenticular galaxies.

Then there are irregular galaxies, which

do not have a distinct regular shape.❜

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕟𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕘𝕒𝕝𝕒𝕩𝕪 ?

My galaxy's name would be the Maelstrom Cloud. Maelstrom meaning "a situation in which there is great confusion, violence and destruction."

That name would fit the galaxy I have in mind since it will be portrayed as a war zone; where its population is in constant war against other factions with the objective of colonizing the great unknown.

Due to the immensity of the galaxy, factions use gates as a means of transport for their armed forces.

My galaxy would have 20 solar systems, with each one having 8 planets.

The main unhospitable planets I would have in my solar system are the following:

The planet Draenor, named after its discoverer is an iron planet about 12.0 times bigger than Earth. A single day lasts about 45 hours and a year lasts 270 days.

While life will never be possible on this planet, it does offer a unique sight in the night sky of nearby planets.

Pelicientes, or unstable in Latin, is a planet with an explosive nature that makes it unable to sustain any lifeforms.

The volcanic eruptions are too devastating and the conditions on this planet change too drastically during its orbit in order to be welcoming.

My galaxy is in a spiral, the most common shape. It has a supermassive black hole at its center. Like nearly all large galaxies.

𝔸𝕣𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕪 𝕠𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕥𝕤 𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕦𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖 ?

Of course! To name a few:

In term of lifeforms, microbes make up almost all of the organisms on the planet Eternium. But there are few of them which have and are evolving.

While they're currently nothing more than the very basic forms of insects and fish, one day they may lead to the varied life that we now have on earth.

The planet Edoter is home to the rules of a true intergalactic empire. This species have andvanced far beyond anything humans would be capable of in the next centuries.

They have travelled to all the nearby planets, containing any form of life and colonizing territories. This has also lead to biological breakthroughs ranging from cures for diseases to altering and enhancing their own DNA.
