About Me!

Hi! My name is Bladen Spirit. Spirit is my middle name. I'm 16 years old. I'm non-binary, so I prefer they/them pronouns. I manage my local school's cross country team and I will hopefully be apart of the choir too, as well as being a part of Key Club.

I live in a rural area, the woods around my house are one of my favorite places to be. I also enjoy video games like Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. I love reading, I'm currently reading "A Particular Peril" or "The Misadventures of Jonathan Lambshead", this book becoming one of my all time favorites.

I really love writing, recently writing essays for a pageant I ended up backing out of. I enjoy righting essays, poems, and informational pieces. Before my several month long hiatus, I was apart of the Journalist Team for almost a full year, it was one of my favorite things to do. I would love being able to write for such a wonderful team again.

Since my last time as a journalist, I've become more happy and positive with new meds and from friends and family. I like to think I'm a kind and ive person. I'm almost always willing to help others when they need me.

I have three cats, currently, adopting the youngest cat shortly after the ing of my cat Lucy. Soon we may adopt a couple Old English Shepherds to breed. Until then, I have my old man, beautiful boy, and goblin scaredy pants.

My Idea of a Good Newsletter

A good newsletter should be accurate and up-to-date information. Being interesting to read, as well as being nicely made and edited. Have borders and headings to divide information. Be edited in a way that can keep the reader engaged in what the author is trying to talk about.

Two Chronicles Ideas

Number One °· Easy To Make And Quick Meals

With some people beginning college, it would be a good idea to have some easy meal ideas for some moving out for the first time. Keeping within a restricted budget, it can be hard to think of meals that can be healthy and cheaper.

Number Two °· Photography Tips

I personally really enjoy photography using both my Polaroid and cell phone to take pictures any time that I can. Having good photos with better quality and more aesthetically appealing subjects is something I hope I can always achieve, having tips to help others who may be struggling could be a nice for everyone interested in pursuing photography as a side hobby or as a possible career.

Why do I Want to and What I Can Bring

I really enjoyed being a journalist, it really upset me when I had to leave for mental health issues, so I would love to have another try. I love writing and I want to further my skills when it comes to working with a team.

I can bring experience to the team. As well as a willingness to further my writing skills, a will to work hard with others, and a positive attitude.

1. You find out a member of your team is plagiarising, what do you do?

First make sure if no or any credit was given to the original article, with use of quotation marks. If not, message the member and calmly ask about the post in question and ask if they have any use of the source in their post. If they are comply or don't edit the post, a leader for assistance.

Bring it up with an online leader of the team, include a link to the post, mention the part or parts having been copied, a link to the article I believe has been plagiarized, and a link to the profile.

2. Another member has been bullying you or another member on the team. How do you react?

I would personally ignore the member and send unedited evidence to a leader.

If another member were being bullied, I would encourage them to take a similar course of action.

3. How would you handle a post that could potentially be triggering?

Suggest the author put in warnings and add in images that are eye catching that warn of a possibly triggering topic. If after a period of time, send the link to a leader or curator to be taken down and message the creator of the post why it had to be taken down. Let them know that they can repost it with the required warnings.

4. What do you do if one of your ideas starts to receive hate from of the community or your team ?

Calmly explain my side and encourage the conversation topic to change. It would be best to avoid getting angry and just calmly explain myself rather than start arguments.

5. One of the leaders makes a decision you disagree with. How do you act?

In a private message, explain why I disagree with the decision and try to work out a better solution to the problem. Again, avoid argument as much as possible.
