Luna’s Mermaid Challenge

I don’t want to stay in a place that drowns me

A place so deep, so dark where it’s lonely

Sometimes the waves are comforting, it hugs

every skin and curves of my body

but you are not the sea nor are you the waves

as the only warmth I am yearning for are your

embrace

Hoping you would wrap your fingers to my hips

one last time

As you pull me into a kiss, tattooed to my lips

A permanent memory

For as you become a part of me

will I no longer feel alone in this deep blue sea

What’s was your Inspiration to make this?

I got the inspiration from the color blue, as blue often represents sadness which extended to grief and loneliness. Since blue was the inspiration I connected it to the sea, underwater. Therefore leading to the mermaid surrounded and living in it.

what is your mermaid like ?

A strong woman who urges to seek and search for what could not be seen, one with resilience and only one of a kind. Someone who ires what’s in the beyond.

Does your mermaid have any friends or family ? if so, what are they like ?

Yes, there were small a group of them. They do almost everything together since there’s only so little population.

Give a little bit of a backstory on your mermaid?

She is an explorer, she likes to go above to look at the views and ire them. Often her and her family peaks at the other animals above the sea and witnessing every human silently, amused by their behaviors. However due to an unexpected incident as she watch them all being captured by fishermen while she hides under a big rock. This has left her traumatized and for awhile she thought she was the only one left of her species till another mermaid shows up out of nowhere and there blooms their friendship that turned into a relationship. Unfortunately while things were going well, her partner never came back and has left her wondering different scenarios in her head until she settled that her partner will no longer return. That was when she truly felt loneliness and is slowly losing the sense of affection.
