As I open my mouth

All the head turn around

The ground moves

The grace sings the blues

I laugh to my heart beat

Wish they'd let me choose

Trying to write sanity

Trying to mark the lines

Trying to fit the model

My mouth can't spit but lies

╚⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤╝

I dream of my home

Where one day I may smile

I dream of freedom

Where I shall no longer hide

Let the words be spoken

Not tossed to the side

╚⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤╝

Our flag fluttering in the sky

Shielding us from their edged night

Our hands held in unity

While yours are torn apart

Our labels don't matter

For our peace will conquer with time

In all our colors we have ached

People pray and cry in heart break

Then see love and call it a disgrace

Why can't we celebrate love in all its ways?

Our voices won't fade in the darkest void

Our colors won't dim in the saddest shades

Our pride won't drown in your sea of hate

With my brothers and sisters I shall stand

Taking pride in who I am.
