In my life, I've had a lot of lucky breaks. That is why I am so grateful on a daily basis. But maybe the luckiest thing that ever happened to me was the last time I was able to hold my grandmother's hand before she died. I'm blessed in that I've made it home to the Philippines, and I grant her wish to see me in person. I enjoy living in California with my family, but being able to visit your homeland is even better. I'm so glad we made it back then.
