So for anyone who doesn't know I'm really into She-Ra princess of power. It's a reboot of the original She-Ra and it's on Netflix. And there's a lot of LGBTQ representation in it. I could probably write about the whole show but we'll start with my favorite character Entrapta.

Entrapta is the princess of dryl and she really loves science and technology. She's also very friendly, kind, hyperactive, and smart.
Entrapta was written as an autistic character while this isn't confirmed directly in the show (although I wish it was) Noelle Stevenson the creator of the show confirmed it later on. I don't know what Entrapta's sexuality but I know that she's queer.

Why is Entrapta important?
Entrapta is important to me because of the way she's written. I'm autistic and I found her to be wonderful representation. I like that she's a female character because I feel like women on the spectrum are very underrepresented in the media. Obviously Entrapta doesn't represent everyone on the autism spectrum but I do relate to her in some ways.
For example Entrapta is older than a lot of the other characters I relate to this since a lot of my closest friends are either older or younger than me for the most part. And a lot of her friends are her robots that she builds. I also love that Entrapta wants to make friends and is friendly and kind to everyone she meets because so many people believe that autistic people don't want friends or aren't friendly or social. While I'm not a social butterfly I'm still friendly with people and I want to have friends and I try to be kind to everyone.
Entrapta and I are also similar in other ways to for example Entrapta is very intelligent and great with science and technology but she can be naive, easily distracted by things she likes, and easily manipulated. I consider myself to be book smart but like Entrapta I'm not the greatest socially and sometimes I can be manipulated by others easily and according to my mom I have the attention span of a chipmunk.
I also find it nice to see positive representation Entrapta is seen as very likeable and she doesn't "overcome her autism" and I think that's amazing because I've seen many negative portrayals of autism or "inspirational" stories of someone "overcoming their autism".

I also love this quote from Entrapta and the way she views imperfections. She views imperfections as a good thing and I find this important to me. Just because someone might not fit into society's standards of perfection it doesn't always mean they're a bad person. Our imperfections and flaws help make up who we are.

Overall I think Entrapta is really great representation the one thing I would've added to her would be a direct confirmation in the show. But other than that I love her and I think she'd be a great example to use to teach others about autism to.
