Pookie to the Rescue

Hey guys! Made this for a game show outside of Amino, but since it's Mario related, I thought I'd post it here.

Waluigi: I didn't win?!?

Waluigi: I tried so hard, but I still failed.

Waluigi: Wah...

???: Hey,

Pauline: You were amazing out there!

Waluigi: I...uh...

Waluigi: *rambles*

Later in the plaza.

Pauline: (There's my pookie.)

The challenge was to draw two images that were Mario related, and I was itching to sharpen my comic skills. I was and still am hyperfixated on Waluigi, so I knew I had to draw him. But who should he interact with?

My mind went to Pauline because 1. I like her character and drawing her, and 2. Ever since I found out Blue loves Pauline, I've just headcanoned Waluigi and Pauline as besties/pookies. In recent media and game showcases of them, they do seem to sort of have this friendly rivalry vibe, at least in my eyes. So maybe they are secretly friends in the actual lore!

(Also fun fact, that last is based on me and Blue walking in circles around the Mario Party Jamboree plaza and talking for hours 🗣 :sparkling_heart: )
