Welcome back to A Pipe With Spearhead! A LITTLE early with this one, marvelites! I'm your host, and this episode, I'm really excited to talk about some really old news, however, if you haven't seen it yet, I must say, spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home Ahead! Enjoy the show!
Spearhead: Hello, Gamora! Thanks for coming on the show. How are you today?
Gamora: Hey there! It's my pleasure being here, and I was one of the lucky few hand-picked by a certain amazing someone. I'm doing wonderful! Tired as always, but I'm sure I can keep my eyes open long enough to finish this interview. What about yourself?
Spearhead: I'm doing incredible! Especially since I've been let out of the basement to continue this show :skull: . Anyway, what are your thoughts on the recent Spider-Man Movie, No Way Home? What were your thoughts on the film in general?
Gamora: Aaa, how did that happen? I must've left it unlo- I thought No Way Home was outstanding! It was hilarious to see Dr. Strange get shut down by a small batch of highschoolers. As much as it was entertaining, it was equally as sad! In short, I'd say it was one hell of an emotional roller coaster. Especially when Andrew Garfield's spiderman saved Tom Holland's MJ.
Spearhead: I totally agree! I'm a proud , and shameless Tobey Maguire Stan, and he did INCREDIBLE in this movie. And Andrew did a very good job playing his role, especially in the scene where the Spiders-Three shared their lowest moments. His sadness felt genuine. As if he actually did witness his girlfriend die. (Even though it wasn't real.) That and to be my favorite scene, besides the one where Aunt May died. It was a sad scene, and yet again, Tom definitely did it justice. Speaking of favorite scenes, what are yours?
Gamora: Oh my gosh, I honestly love them all. Every single one of them have brought an all-time favorite superhero to life in a way that I'm proud of. I think every actor brings something new to the name Peter Parker, and your friendly neighborhood Spiderman. Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland shined through in this! The way each one of them portrayed their version of Spiderman brought forth so much nostalgia for the past, yet brought forth so much excitement and suspense for what the future may hold. It was bittersweet. Picking a favorite scene is difficult, as I found myself enjoying many of them! I think what stuck out to me the most, was when they comforted Tom Holland's Spidermand on the rooftop. To me, that moment right there was a huge stepping stone. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire had to battle with heartbreak from the past. In a way, they probably felt like they were going through those moments again too. Yet they remained calm and collected, and despite how much they were hurting, they pushed on and tried to remain calm for the sake of their newly found friend.
Spearhead: I loved that scene! And the inner meaning it had to those who had watched the past spider-man movies, and was still meaningful to those who hadn't (the minority). This scene was definitely up there with my favorites. Definitely top ten. Now, this debate may get heated, but who's your favorite Spider-Man of this trio?
Gamora: Oh yes, I could honestly go on and on about many other scenes that were my favorite. It's definitely one of the scenes on my list, but I don't think I have a defined favorite. What are you trying to do? Put a target on my back with a question like that? Luckily there's no heat necessary. Now don't hate me. I promise this isn't a cheap answer to escape. But I have to it that I love all three equally. I've seen what they're capable of, the emotions they can pull from the bottoms of their hearts and put into Spiderman, and all three of them have a special place in my heart.
Spearhead: Although I do have a favorite, (Tobey, ofc) I must it, I do love the other two very much. Their trilogies? (sorry Andrew) are all incredible in their own quirks and ways. And that's why I love Spider-Man as a character, he's very flexible and can be good in anyway he's portrayed. Like Stan Lee used to say: "Anybody can be Spider-Man." Now, I must say with deep regret, because you've been lovely this entire interview, I feel as if our time is running out. So, before we sign off, do you have anything you'd like to share with the audience, Gamora???
Gamora: I think that's why it's difficult for me to pick a favorite! Spiderman is a character that can be anything, and I'm sure there's still much of him left that we haven't gotten to witness. Then there's also the question: who will be the next Spiderman after Tom Holland? It's so terrifying to think about, but it also gets the curiosity in me all stirred up. Oh my goodness, this entire interview has been amazing! I had to hold back quite a bit, otherwise you'd be reading an essay. But to anyone that may be reading this, you too can be anything in this world. Don't give up just because the ride gets a little rough. You'll get through it, I promise. I love you to the galaxies.
Spearhead: Awe! That's wonderful. Again like I've said, you've been great. Thanks for coming on the show, I hope some day you'll be able to come back! (Season three, maybe?) Haha! We'll see! Have a great day, Gam!
Gamora was incredible this episode. It baffles me how professional and sweet she was. Really! One of the best interviews yet! Anyway, I BEG you, viewer, to give her a Chat a if you haven't already! That wraps this up, thanks for watching!
