Brucie's Ultimate Marvel Team!

Hey everyone! Brucie here with my first Big Brother Challenge! Our first task was to make our own team, and I gotta say that idea excited the heck out of me, because I adore over analyzing character traits and how characters would interact with each other! I put a lot of thought into who I chose, so let’s get started!

The first thing I did was come up with three roles that I feel a team needs filled to work effectively, and I came up with three; you need a tactician, a tank, and versatile member that can bend to the plans of the tactician. I personally feel that a small group of people who are perfectly suited to work together work better than a large group of people who can fill many roles, so I decided to go stream line and have a three-man team. Or three women team, rather. I honestly did not set out to make a team of all kick-butt women, but when I was scouting for characters best suited to fill these roles, it was a handful of specialized women who stepped up to the plate!

So let’s unveil our new super team!

The Tactician

Shuri

Shuri, despite not being in line for the crown of Wakonda, is a born leader. She is by far the most intelligent character in the cinematic universe, considering she is responsible for the technological renaissance her people are currently enjoying. She has found ways to use and control vibranium that the rest of the world could only dream, and her people have prospered for it.

But Shuri isn’t just a techie, she’s a firecracker, and that’s what makes her so brilliant on the battlefield. Shuri is intelligent enough to find the perfect way to take down any threat, and brave enough to never hesitate to strike. In the MCU she mainly plays the role of for her brother, The Black Panther, but I feel she has the power and intelligence to shine as a leader in her own right.

The Muscle

Nebula

The idea of putting a former villain like Nebula on any team may seem ridiculous, but as we see at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, she’s more than ready to fight for the side of good. What Nebula needs most is direction; a cause to fight for and someone to teach her how to fight fair. And I firmly believe Shuri could be the one to tame her.

Why Nebula qualifies as “muscle” is a little easier to justify. Nebula is not only a highly trained assassin, she’s proven to be almost indestructible. Her fighting style is ferocious, and any injuries she sustains in battle can easily can popped back into place because of her cybernetics. Nebula was made to be a berserker, and being on a team is exactly what she needs to point that rage in the right direction.

The Wild Card

The Scarlet Witch

Calling The Scarlet Witch “a wild card” probably seems like an understatement. In certain continuities she has the power to completely rewrite reality, and in House of M specifically she rewrote the entire universe. We have no reason to believe she is this powerful in the cinematic universe, but that isn’t to down play the kind of powers she has! Wanda is still likely the most powerful hero in the cinematic universe.

Wanda’s powers being entirely centered around magic makes her incredibly versatile. She can do anything from create force fields, crush objects, and bring down whole buildings. Wanda’s biggest disadvantage is that her powers being magic based leaves her physically vulnerable to being hit and having her concentration broken. This is why she works so well on a team, and why having a tank on the ground to protect her is so important.

And so we come to the final act of this piece; What do we call a collection of the universe’s most powerful women?
