Happy birthday, Sebastian Stan!

𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄!

The Marvelous Alm is back with a new blog.

Today, on   August 13rd   is   Sebastian    Stan's

birthday and I decided   to   write    something

special for him and make an appreciation post.

He is a very important person to me and you'll

see why if you keep on reading! I usually don't

make posts to congratulate cast on

their birthdays but Sebastian is an exception.

Many people don't know how it is like when you're

from a country that not so many know of. Not me.

Romania isn't a famous country at all and many

people who do know about it don't see it in a good

light. Over the years we did have a few people like

the    gymnast Nadia   Comăneci   (first 10) or the

footballer Gheorghe Hagi and   the   tennis   player

Simona Halep   who   helped   us   become   better

known worlwide but none of them has   had   that

much     of    an   impact like Sebastian Stan had.

When I first heard about   him at the TV   back   in

2014 I was shocked when I heard that he plays in

such famous movies! Then, over the years, I   saw

more   and   more    people    fangirling    over   him

and I had such a good feeling especially when they

praised our country aswell, which not many people

from other countries do and that was very hard to

digest for me. I'm also happy that Sebastian is very

patriotic and that we also got a scene in Bucharest

in   Civil   War,    most   probably   because   of   him.

One of the most mindblowing moments in my life

was seeing a big "Bucharest" on the screen in that

film   and   hearing the romanian   language being

spoken in a MARVEL movie! Even if it only was a

conversation about plums, haha!     (Also Nick Fury

said "Bucharest"   in Captain Marvel aswell. Epic.)

I owe him so much for being a good representant

of our country worldwide and giving me hope that

romanians can indeed do awesome things.    You

might not know, but most of us think very down of

our country but every little thing, every single person

that succedes internationally means a lot for us. So,

thank you Sebastian.      You make us dream bigger.

Another thing that   I   want   to   talk   about is his

brilliant performance as the Winter Soldier in the

MCU. Not many notice that it actually is harder to

play a character with few lines.   His part was all

about facial expressions   and,   of course,   action

scenes.    He is a very expressive actor and he can

convey     many    emotions    through    his     acting.

Big surprise but did you know that he originally had

a   longer contract than Chris Evans?    9   movies.

Marvel had big plans for Bucky from the beginning.

Of course,    they   are going to give him and   the

Falcon a Disney+ TV show, but we might see him

appear in future movies aswell.   But hey, it's good

to know that he's been relied on from the beginning.

If you haven't seen him in any other movies besides

the one in the MCU then you're missing onto some

great performances of his. As I said,   what you see

in the MCU is very little of what this man is capable

of.   He   played   the   leading role   in The Martian,

he   was extraordinary as Jeff Gillooly in I, Tonya

(I highly recommend you to watch that one). Other

films he's been in are Black Swan   (with Natalie

Portman),   Gone,   Hot Tub Time Machine,      The

Convenant or Ricki and the Flash. You can also see

him   in   TV   Shows   like   Once    Upon    A    Time.

He's    also, you can say, pretty   diverse   that way.

He   was   ranked   as   #23   hottest   man of 2019.

He    initially    wanted    to   become   an   astronaut.

Before   being   cast   as   Bucky Barnes in Captain

America:    The First Avenger,    he   was considered

for         the        role        of        Captain        America.

He did all his own stunts in the movie The Covenant.

He will portray Charles   Blackwood   in   We   Have

Always Lived in the Castle, an adaption of Shirley

Jackson’s       novel       of       the       same       name.
