It's Ninja, here with a new set of edits! For this post, I was challenged to go out of my comfort zone and make edits that include elements or ideas from famous artwork. At first, I found this to be quite a difficult task as I've never even thought to do anything like this but, as I worked through the edits, I was able to think of more ways to fit the theme.

One of my favourite parts of making these edits was finding different pieces of artwork to take inspiration from. I'm not the most artistically inclined person, nor am I overly familiar with famous art pieces that extend past the Mona Lisa and Starry Night, so I was really interested in the research I was carrying out.

Edit 1

The first edit I made was inspired by the Pointillism art movement, which encomes the work of artists such as Georges Seurat, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Signac. It is a painting style that uses dots rather than brush strokes to build up an image. I decided to make Shuri my main focus because I thought the circular markings on her face when fighting fit with the pointillism theme. It's also the first edit I've made of her. In my opinion, it's relatively subtle in the way it conveys the theme but I quite like that. I found it a bit difficult to find clear screencaps because I was editing a fight scene but I think it turned out nicely overall.

Edit 2

The second edit I've made is inspired by the Pop Art movement, more specifically artwork by Andy Warhol. His work is known for bright colours and commonly features people or food as the subject. Many of his pieces show the same image repeated in different colours to form a grid, which is what I was inspired by. Instead of repeating the same character in four s, I chose four different characters, Thor, Valkyrie, Loki and Hulk, also known as the Revengers. I tried to make the background colours contrast with their suits as mush as possible without clashing too much with the other s. I'm reasonably impressed with the result but it's quite different to the edits I would usually make.
