Honestly I would see If it was a player messing with me if I am not playing solo. If I can't tell it's another player I would be trolling and griefing them. If they say something as a player messing around I will stop doing that.
It all depends on how they are in the actual game because they aren't actually in the game as something you can find or come across without mods if there are any mods out there to add them.
