Mermay 2022 Entry

This is my entry for Mermay 2022! I redesigned my oc Selkie from last year and made a new design.

The new hero's name is Scute because it's what the boney plates on a turtle shell are called. I chose to make them a Hawksbill sea turtle because of the pretty pattern they have. Scute's kwami is named Erett because that's the first three letters of Hawksbill sea turtles' scientific name and it sounds like an actual name lol. I made the miraculous a nose piercing because it's a HawksBILL turtle and they have a pointed bill so the miraculous reflects it. Scute's power is 'structure' which lets them protect someone with something made of sand. It could obviously be a structure or something like armor. I chose that because Hawksbill sea turtles live in the ocean and their skin has a bumpy texture and coloration that's like sand.
