You just don’t understand me.
A lot of you haters often say things like. I am a boring character with no depth or reason for the things I am doing. Well you are wrong and here’s why, I’m not just mean for the sake of being mean, I don’t lie for the sake of lying. I’m way more multifaceted and interesting than that plain old boring Marinette.
What you see as unappealing is just a deeply flawed character. Who happens to not be getting the treatment and care that they need. I am by no means perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but the difference between me and Marinette is I have real character flaws Marinette just has Mary Sue flaws like “Being Clumsy.”, “Being Socially Awkward.”, etc. part of the reason Marinette seems more interesting is she has more screen time.
Impulsivity: Lila acts impulsively, often making decisions without thinking them through, which can lead to her lying and exaggerating stories. This fits the impulsivity seen in ADHD, where individuals may struggle to control their actions in the moment.
Social Masking: Lila’s manipulative behavior might be a form of social masking, which is something that people with ADHD—especially girls—often do to hide their struggles and fit in socially. It can manifest as extreme people-pleasing or, in Lila's case, manipulation.
Emotional Regulation: Her tendency to lie in situations where she feels threatened or embarrassed could be related to emotional regulation issues. People with ADHD can sometimes struggle to manage emotions like shame or guilt, leading them to act in ways that protect their self-image.
Self-esteem and Social Anxiety: Lila’s need for attention and validation could stem from low self-esteem or fear of being rejected, which is a common experience for people with ADHD. Her tendency to fabricate stories might be a way to protect herself from rejection or criticism.
Wishful Thinking and Avoiding Responsibility: Lila’s overly optimistic and sometimes unrealistic view of her situation might relate to wishful thinking, which is often seen in ADHD. Additionally, she avoids responsibility, particularly when it comes to her deceit and manipulation.

Lila is often dismissed as just a "mean girl," but when you look deeper, her character is much more complex. Unlike Chloe, who has a more overt sense of entitlement due to her father’s status, Lila is driven by ambition, intelligence, and a need for validation. She actively seeks out opportunities to manipulate situations and people to elevate herself, which speaks to her calculated nature.
Lila’s arrogance and sense of superiority come from her belief that she is deserving of attention and power, and she works tirelessly to craft an image that fits this narrative. Unlike Chloe, who’s largely content with being spoiled and not necessarily trying to prove anything beyond her privilege, Lila is constantly pushing to climb higher and prove her worth often through deceit and manipulation. It's almost like a chess game for her, where every move is part of a larger plan.
Lila is far more subtle. she is incredibly strategic, always considering which actions will positively affect her standing with others. This makes her a much more dangerous character in a way she’s not just a product of her environment (like Chloe), but someone who actively shapes her environment to fit her vision of herself.

Lila’s backstory and motivations are shrouded in mystery, adding to her enigmatic nature and making her a fascinating character to analyze.
This mystery around her past only deepens the intrigue because it leaves open the possibility that her manipulative and arrogant behaviors might stem from past trauma, rejection, or unmet needs. Without knowing her full backstory, we’re left to speculate about what could drive someone to become so calculated and deceptive. Perhaps she’s built up this elaborate persona as a defense mechanism, trying to protect herself from something she experienced in the past.
The mystery behind why Lila moved from Italy is something that’s left vague, which just adds more intrigue around her character. There could be many possible reasons, and the lack of a clear explanation leaves room for speculation.
It’s possible that Lila moved to Paris for a fresh start perhaps she was escaping something in Italy, whether it was a difficult past or some kind of personal failure that led her to reinvent herself in a new city. Maybe there was some kind of fallout or scandal in her past, and moving to Paris allowed her to start anew, where she could craft a new identity and narrative for herself.

Good edit
Hm very interesting 🙂
They accidentally made Lila a better character than Marinette, Marinette cannot exist without having a character to tear down, that’s why she needs an antagonist like chloe or me.
