𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞

The Blackwood Tribe has existed for thousands of years, serving as the origin of every other werewolf pack in existence. Their lineage traces back to ancient Rome, where the first werewolf was created through accidental healing magic. From there, lycanthropy spread across the world. Eventually, the Blackwoods migrated to what is now known as Moonlight Hollow, America.

They were the first to settle in this land, only to later encounter the powerful vampire and witch families- the Ravenborns and the Thornes. While the centuries long conflict between these three families is well documented, the focus here is on the Blackwoods.

The Blackwoods operate under a strict hierarchy, with the Alpha as the undisputed ruler. Traditionally, the title was held by the eldest male, but in recent years, eldest females have assumed the role when male heirs proved incompetent. Following the founding family treaty, the Blackwood family council proposed naming the shared city "Moonlight Hollow” a suggestion that, surprisingly, all three families accepted. Thus, historically, the city was named by the Blackwoods.

Their influence is strong throughout Moonlight Hollow, with locations like “Blackwood Street” and “Blackwood Hill” bearing their name- just as the Ravenborns and Thornes have “Ravenborn Tower” and “Thorne Seaside”.

The Blackwoods are the most rigid of the founding families. Treason is met with severe punishment, often death, and they forbid relationships outside their own kind- though this rule is not always obeyed. Currently, the tribe resides in a vast estate deep within the forest, bordered by a river that connects them to the city.

In this generation, the pack is led by Frederick Blackwood, with his son, Oskar Blackwood, as heir. The Blackwood Tribe remains large, consisting of at least forty official , all bound by blood, tradition, and an unbreakable code of loyalty.
