Knocked Loose - You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To [REVIEW]

Knocked Loose is a band I never heard of until this year when I have heard critical acclaim for this new album and within a few listens, I think it’s very clear that not only this critical acclaim is deserved, but I expect this to end up as my album of the year.

Bryan Garris brings out some hardcore vocals backed up behind some of the most dark and powerful instrumentation I have heard in a while, almost similar to that of Converge’s "Jane Doe." On top of that, Poppy and Chris Motionless of the band, Motionless In White make appearances and add on phenomally, ESPECIALLY Poppy, who brings a different, yet still heavy tone to her respective track, making for my personal favorite track off the album.

And the cherry on top? This is all packed into a 10-track project and only being for 27 minutes, making for one of the hardest albums you may hear while also being so easy to replay. This is as of now, my album of the year for 2024 and probably the best metal album I have heard this decade.
