Bakugou was sick of Midoriya dragging them into all of his shitty American holidays.

He was in America for two years and he comes back and wants to drag their old class into absolutely everything. It was infuriating. Especially with Todoroki around, Todoroki who heard about any kind of celebration and got that look in his eyes. It was a look that Bakugou knew all too well. The one that held all of Todoroki’s mommy issues, daddy issues, and sibling issues in combination.

How could he say no to that look.

That is why he found himself in the kitchen just hours before their American Thanksgiving. He told Deku he would make the fucking turkey, which was a stupid idea because he had never cooked a turkey before. However he took it in stride, basting and prepping, he followed the directions from the internet to a T. Todoroki watched from the living room, he was quiet mostly, peeking over the couch like a child who had something to say but was too afraid.

When it was finally ready to be put in the oven Bakugou put it in with a slam and glared at his boyfriend. Todoroki didn’t react much, the corners of his lips curved upward in an almost smile.

“What the fuck are you looking at,” Bakugou barked, throwing his apron off and washing uncooked turkey off his hands in their sink. The expression on Todoroki’s face didn’t falter even a little bit.

“You,” He replied.

Bakugou rolled his eyes at the others sappiness, Todoroki was often like this. He would become overly grateful about the most mundane of things and he would get all quiet. Bakugou never really said anything about it, but he enjoyed it when it happened. It was something special the two of them shared, domestic and all for himself.

“I love you,” Todoroki spoke up, his voice was still low, quiet enough that Bakugou wouldn’t have been able to hear it if there had been any other kind of noise in the room. Bakugou walked around the couch and settled down in between Todoroki’s legs.

“I love you too jackass,” he replied. He played with Todoroki’s hands and quickly fell into a deep slumber. It was sweet and it was perfect.

Until it wasn’t.

The two of them woke up to the sound of their phones going off and a horrible smell in the air. Todoroki only groaned and went back to sleep, the phone kept ringing until eventually it could not be ignored.

“What the fuck do you want,” Bakugou growled, Todoroki stirred slightly from behind him.

“Hi Kaachan, we were just wondering where you were. Eijirou and I have been waiting for like half an hour.”

“The fuck are you talking about- OH SHIT.” Bakugou hung up the phone and jumped off the couch in rush. He immediately rushed to the oven and slammed his hand on the counter, rushing to grab the fire extinguisher. Todoroki stood up from the couch like a deer caught in headlights. Bakugou put out the fire with ease and let out a sigh of relief that the fire alarm in the apartment didn’t go off.

“We aren’t taking a turkey to Deku’s,” Bakugou yelled. He kicked the trashcan next to the island and trash spilled all over the place.

Todoroki was silent as he made his way over. He looked at the mess in the kitchen and back toward Bakugou. He shrugged, “Guess we'll order a pizza.”
