Forgotten tunes

Hawks looked down at the old phonograph. It had felt like a million years since the last time laid his eyes on it. He silently stepped forward and leant down, almost subconsciously, to touch the record. His finger painted in dust as he lightly touched the scratchy surface.

Where had the time gone?

It all felt so foggy, he ed the commission giving him the record player as a gift. They didnt want to spend money on the kid, so they just fished something out of the dump and called it a day.

Hawks smiled as he ed how confused he was at the thing. He had no clue what it was, or what you were supposed to do with it. Suddenly someone had taken it from his feeble hands.

"You do know how to use one of these right?"

The voice called as it set down the giant gift.

"Well, its a record player...it plays music?"

The voice said, almost as if it were a question. A rustic squeak sounded from the phonograph, as the record was popped into place.

Suddenly a static sound erupted from the machine. Silence followed for several moments, before loud trumpets burst from the spinning record. The music was sweet, almost like honey, as it filled the room with its gleeful tunes.

"See? Music!" the voice called once more. A red haired boy turned around to face him. His eyes, deep as the ocean, seemed to glisten in the evening light. A smile widened on his bruised face.

"Dosent it sound nice, Keigo?"

Whoa i wrote a thing!! I wanna get better at writting, so i thought i should write a lil thing to go along with the art!

Ive been listening to ALOT of 1930-1940s music today, and well i got inspired-

Idk it makes me feel this warm, nostalgic feeling whenever i listen to it, and i wanted to show that!

Tbh im not too proud of the art, ive just been off all day, but i like the writing portion! I probably have alot of grammar and spelling mistakes, but oH wElL
