Halloween Night (BakuSquad) - My Herotober (Story ft. Candy & King)

Heyo! This is pretty late but I finally got around to doing it. Hopefully, I'll have time to catch up with the first week's prompts soon.

Featuring the prompts of both candy and king, I decided to write for Bakugo again since he's Lord Explosion Murder and the second replacement name he came up with was King Explosion Murder. Just a little made up scenario of the BakuSquad in the dorms on Halloween night.

Halloween Night

Knock, knock, knock.

Firm knocks rang out from the door to his room. Bakugo glared out the door but that didn’t stop his arm as he raised the dumbbell in his hand. Those stupid idiots really did go with their stupid idea. Well, that was their choice. He wasn’t going to participate in their nonsense, no matter what.

Knock, knock, knock.

The knocking came again. This time louder than before. He groaned, deciding to ignore the fools on the other side of the door. There were better things to do besides dres like clowns and going around begging people for stuff. That was disgusting.

Knock, knock, knock, knock, knock.

Now the other party was just pounding on the door with all their might. Did they think he couldn’t hear them? Were they that stupid? Well, if Dunce Face was the one on the other side, he really might be that stupid. Could be Raccoon Eyes too but she wasn’t that comfortable with him.

“Bakugo?” said a voice.

“Shut up and go away,” the firecracker responded sharply. He didn’t have the patience to deal with their antics right now. He cranked the weight up and down, angrily exercising himself in order to ignore the people outside his door.

“Come on, we already agreed earlier. Don’t be a downer,” came another voice. That damn Tape Arms. How many of them were there?

“It’ll be fun!” a cheerful voice crackled into the mixture of sounds. So Raccoon Eyes was there.

“It’s a special night, bro. Just open up the door,” Dumb Hair said. “It’ll be fun”

Bakugo gave them silence in response.

“Should I just slam on the door some more?” he heard Sparky asking. How many times did he already tell them he wasn’t gonna play a part in their little trick or treating game. Oh yeah, that’s what they were doing tonight. Apparently, it was Halloween or something. When they were discussing earlier that week, Kirishima had mentioned it.

“Did you know like, people will dress up as spooky monsters or cute animals and go knock on other people’s doors? And they get treats for doing that! Isn’t that crazy?” Kirishima said excitedly.

“Oh yeah, I’ve heard of that. It’s called Trick or Treat or something. Either they give you a treat when you ask or you get to play a trick on them,” Tape Boy replied with a smile.

“That sounds fun! Let’s do it!” Dunce Face said, practically jumping at the idea.

“Sounds stupid,” Bakugo grumbled.

“Who would we ask for treats though? No one here does it,” Tape Arms replied calmly.

“What if we have someone give us treats while the rest of us dress up?” Kirishima asked.

“Yeah, that’s a good idea,” Racoon Eyes said giggly.

“Hey, Bakugo! If you don’t want to dress up, why don’t you hand out the candy,” Tape Arms said.

“It’s a win-win,” Kirishima said, chiming in when not necessary.

“Never. This is stupid. You’re all stupid,” the blonde said with a scowl. He stood up from his spot on the couch, walking away towards his dorm room.

“Aw, you leaving?” Dunce Face said. “Don’t forget the treats for Halloween!”

Bakugo stayed silent.

Back in the present, the persistent knocking was getting on his nerves. The fire inside him burned. An angry flame, ready to explode outwards at any moment. His eyes were practically popping out of his head from the stress of his veins.

Finally, he walked up and slammed the door open, startling those outside. He enjoyed the little jump they did in order to avoid the angry fireball that he was. He wasn’t giving in to the pressure. He was just making them shut up faster. Yeah, that’s how it was.

“Trick or Treat!” they collectively yelled after an awkward, but brief, silence.

“Merry Christmas,” he snarled as he grabbed the bowl of candy that lay near his door. He tossed the candy at them, not at all in a dignified manner. The treats scattered on the floor as they landed haphazardly.

As the little gang scrambled to pick up the candy, he slammed his door close. The grumpy boy dropped the boy down in the doorway as he stomped back over to where he was earlier. He picked the weight back up and picked back up on the workout he had been doing before they decide to interrupt him.

“Huh, Bakugo, did you go and buy all this candy?” Kirishima’s voice echoed from the other side of the door. “You really didn’t have to get so much for us.”

“Go away.”

“Aw, so he did care,” Tape Arms said, the voice farther away now.

“And here I thought we would get to play a prank on him. Dang,” came the faint voice of the electric idiot.

“That’s too bad huh,” Kirishima said with a chuckle.

Bakugo huffed as the voices finally were too far away for him to hear. He grumpily returned to his exercise. He didn’t do anything special for those idiots. He just happened to be at the store so he decided to buy some candy. Not that he couldn’t have dealt with their trick, whatever they came up with. Things just ended up the way they were. No special reason for that.
