Hoshi Kurokawa || Arachnophobia || Template

After making a couple characters for my class A, I realized something: “I need more mutations” and “I need scout’s”. So I made both. Hoshi Kurokawa, my tall heteromorph gal.

Hoshi Kurokawa was born lower upper class to her surgeon father, stay at home mom and with her doctor grandmother living with them. HOSHI’S childhood was very comfortable but not excessively so. Hoshi still was expected to keep her grades up as her father wanted her to be able to push to her dreams on her own even if tragedy had struck him.

Hoshi decided in primary school that she didn’t want to be a doctor like her father, but instead to become a hero. Hoshi waited until mid way through her last year of school to tell her parents her dreams. While Hoshi knew that her father wouldn’t be upset at her choice, she worried that he’d still be disappointed that she wouldn’t be following his footsteps, but that hadn’t been the case. He was in reality, incredibly proud of her decision but warn her that he tried to a hero when he was a boy but failed the entrance exam because he hadn’t played it smart. Mr. Kurokawa warned his daughter not to make his same mistake, and Hoshi vowed to make him proud, but she already had.

Hoshi’s Quirk is an amalgamation of both her fathers and mother’s mutation quirks. Her father’s quirk (and her paternal grandmothers) is “Spider”. Spider provides the holder with 6 total arms, perfect night vision, enhanced arm strength, the ability to spit up a web like substance, and the ability to climb any surface. Her mother’s quirk is “Fine Hairs” which allows her to pick up vibrations in the air (or alternatively in the water) around her giving her excellent special awareness and scouting skills.

Arachnid

While all these abilities are useful, none are strong by themselves. Her eyes take time to adjust to the dark and back to the light so Hoshi is weak to flashes. Hoshi’s enhanced strength only allows for her to lift 210% of a normal human with each set of arms. The webs Hoshi spits require focus to direct and have only a 10 meter range. And her fine hairs only pick up 30 meters clearly. However, with training, Hoshi could learn to be an excellent hero.
