"What did I tell you, Nakamura?" the brunette grilled the ravenette from across the table. Missy slowly took another bite from her sandwich as the upset woman continued. "I told you I was interested in Deku, but you pursued him anyway! What kind of person does that?"
"Uraraka, I'm interested in him too. Just because you like him doesn't mean you own him. We're not friends, I don't owe you anything. Izuku made his choice, and now he's my boyfriend," Missy said. Her voice was dripping in the satisfaction she felt for having beaten Ochacko. The brunette had given her nothing but pain ever since she had ed the friend group. Unfortunately, she had managed to pull the wool over everybody else's eyes. The entire friend group thought of her as a saint.
"Don't expect it to stay that way for long," Ochacko warned. "The difference between you and me is that you don't know how to work for anything. You're just a spoiled brat who had life handed to you on a silver platter. The only reason you're at this school is because of nepotism."
Although the words cut deep, Missy didn't let it show as Ochacko walked away. She had already done plenty to prove she belonged here. She watched Ochacko storm away, but her attention was drawn elsewhere as Izuku and Tenya sat around her. "Man, the lunch line is so long, you're already almost done eating," Izuku noted. "I should start packing food. Hm? Is that Ochacko? Where's she going?"
"Dunno," Missy shrugged. "She seems to be in a bad mood, though."
"I'll ask about it later," Izuku decided. "Anyway, Missy, what do you have? Anything left over you'd be willing to trade for a fruit cup? I grabbed one that doesn't have any pineapple." The green-haired boy raised a plastic cup of various fruits from his tray. Missy chewed her lip as she gazed into her nearly empty lunchbox.
"All I have left is my pudding, but I really want that," she shrugged. "Sorry, you're out of luck." Izuku deflated in disappointment but was back to his cheery self within seconds. The table quickly filled up with Izuku's friends, and lunch ed. Missy didn't see Ochacko anywhere, but Izuku insisted on finding her and talking to her.
"I'll see you in class, then," Missy bid him farewell, knowing class would be starting in about fifteen minutes anyway.
"Where's your puppy?" Katsuki sneered at her as she took her seat in class. "He's usually following you everywhere."
"He's not even in the room, Katsuki. There's no reason to be so cruel," she shook her head. It was no secret Katsuki was as volatile as his quirk, and befriending him had been a tough challenge, especially since she was close to Izuku. Her affiliation with him resulted in more obstacles with Katsuki than she had expected. "If you're actually worried about him, he's comforting Uraraka."
"Comforting, sure," Katsuki huffed. "I don't know why you trust those two alone. Before you made friends with him, it was commonly understood those two were essentially a couple."
"Well, I trust my boyfriend," Missy replied, giving him a side-eye. "You're just jealous that you don't have a girlfriend to trust."
"Please, I don't need a person bogging me down with nonsense."
"Good, because I don't see many people lining up for the chance," Missy chuckled. Katsuki just grunted, pulling out his phone.
Missy was a bit concerned when Izuku wasn't in class when it started. Had he been unable to find Ochacko? More and more time ed, and she wasn't the only one concerned by his absence. Izuku had never skipped class before, and murmurs were spreading as his classmates became more and more concerned. Had he gotten wrapped up in something? Trouble seemed attracted to him, after all. "Okay, can any of you repeat anything I just said?" Aizawa asked halfway through the class, silencing the students. After a few seconds of silence, he sighed. "That's what I thought. We'll switch gears for a bit, and hopefully, when we're done we can return to the lesson and you guys can focus. Let's use Midoriya and Uraraka's absences as practice. Whoever finds them gains extra credit. You guys can go about it however you want, with a few rules. One, you can work with as many people as you want, but only one person gets the credit. Two, you're not allowed to disturb any other class. Three, you only have fifteen minutes. Return to class then or risk being counted as tardy or absent yourself. Show how you handle a missing persons report. Dismissed."
Discussion broke out in the class as people rose from their desks, partnering up and discussing strategies and who would get credit. "Pfft, they can stay missing for all I care," Katsuki grumbled. "I can't believe Aizawa is letting them disrupt the class like this. Oh well, I'll find them and get that credit."
"Mind if I you?" Missy asked, quickly rising to her feet. "I don't care for the credit, you can have it. I'm just worried about Izuku."
Katsuki looked her up and down. "Yeah, whatever, as long as you don't slow me down," he grumbled. "And no crying when we find them snogging in a closet."
About ten minutes into their investigation, Katsuki and Missy came across a sizeable group of their classmates mulling about in the hall awkwardly. "What the hell are you guys doing? Out of my way," Katsuki snarled, pushing through the crowd.
"Um..." Tooru whispered, stopping the two by standing in front of them. "We found them, but...er, Missy, I don't think you..." She trailed off, and even though her facial expression couldn't be read, a pit grew in Missy's stomach. She definitely noticed Katsuki throw her a tentative glance.
"I can check," he whispered.
"It's in the woman's bathroom," Tooru interrupted. "Kyouka found them but dipped before they saw her. We're all just waiting out here, not sure what to do now."
"No, it's okay," Missy assured Katsuki. "I'll handle it."
Everybody's eyes were on Missy as she approached the door to the bathroom. People shuffled away from the door, not wanting to appear too eager to see drama, but wanting to stick around to listen to the drama. She paused at the door, taking a deep breath, before building up her courage and shoving the door open.
The door slammed against the wall, causing Ochacko and Izuku to panic. She watched as Izuku quickly jumped away from Ochacko, who had just been pushing against the wall as they made out. They turned toward Missy, preparing their lies but their voices died in their throat when they realized it was her. "Missy..." Izuku mumbled. "Uh...I was just..."
Ochacko, on the other hand, puffed out her chest with confidence and smirked at Missy, walking up to her. She stopped right in front of her, and her smugness only fueled Missy's rage. "Told you so. I get what I want," she whispered. "He's a great kisser." Missy was too upset to say anything. She was still untangling her thoughts when Ochacko ed by her to the door.
She turned to watch Ochacko open the door, only to reveal almost the entire class was milling about. There was a moment of shock and silence, and Missy felt a certain satisfaction that the entire class would know about what she did. But that satisfaction shattered when Ochacko opened her mouth. "Seriously? First, you forced Deku into a relationship with you, and now you're trying to make me look like a bad guy?" she demanded, turning to Missy with fake rage. "Why can't you just let us be?"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Missy demanded.
"You know Izuku and I are in love, but you blackmailed him into dating you," Ochacko fabricated. "And now, you're making it look like he's cheating on you because he doesn't want to give me up. You can't control and own everything and everyone, you stupid, spoiled bitch! Why can't you let us be happy? He doesn't love you, just accept that! This is so embarrassing..." Her voice cracked as tears welled in her eyes. She leaned against the open door, sliding down it until she was crouching, face buried in her knees as she sobbed.
"What the fuck? You can't lie your way out of this one," Missy fumed. "You were clearly caught with my boyfriend, making out with him. You're stupid, complicated story is obviously a lie."
"Deku, please," Ochacko croaked, muffled by her clothing. "Everybody thinks I'm a bad person now...tell them it's true."
The entire audience, Missy included, looked at Izuku, who was still standing stunned in the bathroom. "Oh, uh...yeah, she..." he looked back and forth between Missy and Ochacko. "I...like Ochacko."
Even though Missy was glaring at Izuku, she could feel everybody else's eyes on her, judging. "You know what?" she said quietly. "Fine. You two can have each other. You deserve each other. I don't want to be d with lying maggots like you two." She stormed out of the room, intentionally stepping on Ochacko's foot on her way out. Her classmates stared at her as she made her way toward the front of the school. She had no intention of staying in the class after all of that. She just wanted to be alone.

"Leave me alone!" Missy shouted in response to the knocking at her door. "Who in the world would think I'd want to talk to anyone?"
"I promise I'm here to help," she recognized Mina's voice through the door. "We don't even need to talk about anything if you don't want to. Can we just hang out together? I'm thinking if I was in your shoes right now, I'd feel really alone..."
There was a moment as Missy considered that. She rose from her bed, wiping the tears from her eyes. She quickly opened the door and pulled Mina in. "What do you mean?" she demanded. "Are you saying everybody believes Uraraka? Everybody?"
"Well..." Mina hesitated. "I mean, they clearly had a thing before he started dating you. And he said so himself, and Izuku doesn't lie like that. And, well, Ochacko seemed a lot more distressed. She was crying and everything. You didn't seem all that surprised..."
"Are you saying you believe her?" Missy demanded. "Did you lie just to get into my room and see me cry?"
"No, no!" Mina denied. "I'll it, at first I thought everything just made too much sense. But Bakugou is convinced Ochacko is lying. He keeps getting upset at us whenever we imply otherwise. I realized that he doesn't usually care about drama like this, and the fact he's getting so upset over everything speaks to how much he trusts you and believes you. Considering how rare that is for him...I figure his intuition is probably right."
"Katsuki doesn't believe her?" she asked. That knowledge helped soothe her heart at least a little. She still had a friend.
"Yeah, I guess Izuku wouldn't have anything that can be used against him as blackmail anyway," Mina added, as if she were still convincing herself Ochacko's story was a lie. "I just can't believe the both of them are capable of lying to that degree, especially since you were his girlfriend. They both seem so nice."
Missy moved back to her bed, flopping down on it once more. "I'm going to finish crying," she announced. "You can stay and sit around, I guess, but you're free to leave."
"Okay..." Mina sighed. "Just...whenever you're done, just know that the BakuSquad will help and you. You're not alone."
Missy doesn't know why they would shoot themselves in the foot by staying as her friends. She appreciated the but knew that everybody else now thought of her as a terrible person. Now the entire school would think Katsuki and his friends were enablers. Her worries quickly dissolved into a headache as she sobbed until she fell asleep.

Ochacko was leaning heavily on Izuku as she munched on a muffin. Izuku kept glancing toward Missy, who was now sitting at a table with Katsuki. He sat awkwardly, unsure how to interact with Ochacko. He seemed unsure whether or not others approved of them now being a thing. But Missy knew none of this, as she had intentionally positioned herself so her back was to them.
Her table was just as awkward as Izuku's. Everybody was eating silently, not yet used to her presence. Denki and Eijirou kept glancing at her as if they were studying her, and she could tell they were still on the fence about whom to believe. It wasn't until Kyouka sat down with them that any conversation started. "Sorry about yesterday," she addressed Missy. "I found them but didn't know what to do. It's my fault everybody was around to see it, and now everybody thinks you're the bad guy."
"I should have been the one to intervene," Katsuki added. "I doubt she would have been able to make up a lie if I was the one who caught her."
"Shut up," Missy mumbled. "I don't care about any of that. I should be thanking her. Now I know that nobody at this school has a brain cell or can be trusted. Why are you so convinced I'm in the right?"
Katsuki gazed at the table where Ochacko was trying her best to make it clear Izuku was now hers. "I've known Deku since we were kids. He's like a ball of clay, anybody can shape him into whatever they want. Pink Cheeks though, I've known for less than a year. I've seen her expressions when she's talking to you; it's easy to believe she's manipulating him, and now everybody else. I mean, just looking at her now, it's like she's celebrating winning a game. She's trying to rub it in your face."
"I wish everybody thought the same way," Missy grumbled. "She's not even a good actor."
There was some awkward small talk for the rest of lunch. Izuku and Ochacko left the lunch room early, but Missy only noticed when she got up to leave herself and noticed their empty seats. She had to keep reminding herself not to care. She stopped at a bathroom she ensured was empty to allow herself a quick cry before fixing up her makeup. It made her a couple of minutes late for class, but she didn't care.
When she opened the door to class, Ochacko immediately rose to her feet with such force that her chair fell over. "Aizawa-sensei, can I make a request?" she asked. Missy stayed still by the door, not very eager to see where this was leading.
"This better be worth interrupting my class," Aizawa droned in his monotonous voice.
"Sorry, I wanted to talk to you about it after class because I figured she wouldn't be back in school today," Ochacko threw a glance toward Missy. "I would like to request that Missy be suspended for investigation. She's caused quite a bit of trauma for Izuku and me, and I don't think I can learn and train properly in her presence. Besides, isn't blackmailing somebody illegal? Should she really be allowed to train to be a hero if she's a criminal?"
"Shut up, Pink Cheeks," Katsuki quickly rose to MIssy's defense. "I don't know why you're so eager to expose yourself as a liar, your story will fall apart under any amount of scrutinization in an official investigation. You got your boy toy, now sit down and keep quiet."
"Bakugou," Aizawa barked at him, glaring at him sternly. Katsuki begrudgingly looked away. "Uraraka, what is this about? Blackmail? Are you trying to press charges against a classmate of yours?"
"I don't want it to go to court or anything," Ochacko said innocently. "But I don't feel comfortable or safe training with her."
Aizawa sighed, looking lazily between Missy and Ochacko. He sighed, mumbling under his breath, "I never wanted to have to deal with this type of shit." He looked at Missy without much emotion. "Nakamura, please wait for me in the office. Everybody else, class is dismissed while we look into this. Uraraka and Izuku, stick around so I can hear what exactly you guys are accusing Nakamura of."
"You can't be serious," Missy whined. She turned toward Ochacko, filled with rage once more. "What more could you possibly want? You have Midoriya, you've made everybody think I'm a bad person. What do you stand to gain from getting me expelled?"
"Nakamura," Aizawa warned.
"She's right, sensei," a new voice intervened. Everybody turned their gaze to Kyouka, who had silently risen to her feet. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything earlier, I just...didn't know what to do. But I can't let you punish Missy for a lie completely fabricated by Uraraka."
"You don't know what you're talking about," Ochacko shook her head. "Why are you sticking your nose into this?"
"You made the mistake of assuming Missy was the only one who heard you in the bathroom yesterday," Kyouka made a clear effort to tuck her hair behind her ears, brushing her hand against her elongated lobes. "You didn't know we were all just outside. I could hear everything, thanks to my quirk."
Ochacko was pale in the face. "You have no proof," she protested.
"And you do?" Kyouka pressed. "You said to her, and I quote, 'I told you so. I get what I want.' You were the one threatening Missy, and you reveled in it when she was the one to walk in on you because you thought you could get away with making out with Izuku and that only Missy would know."
Ochacko looked around desperately. Everybody was now looking at her with the same judgment they had been looking at Missy with just the day prior. "I-Izuku, tell them," she said, flustered, as she looked at the green-haired boy. "She blackmailed you, right?"
"With what?" Kyouka asked. "What has Izuku done that's so bad that he'd be willing to stay in a nonconsensual relationship to avoid it being leaked? Maybe we should be looking into that?"
"Enough," Aizawa interrupted. "Everybody but Nakamura, Uraraka, Midoriya, and Jirou is free to leave. You four, come to my desk. We'll discuss this in an appropriate forum."
Missy stepped aside as her classmates started filing out of the door. Many of them spared her a pitiful or guilty look, and she realized their opinions had taken a complete 180. Not that she cared, they had all already revealed their true nature. It took several minutes for the room to clear out except for the four of them. "Now, Uraraka, please go into detail about your side of the story," Aizawa requested.
"You know what?" Ochacko said, bristling with fury. "Never mind, it doesn't matter. Trying to fight Nakamura on anything is pointless, she's not worth the effort."
"Too late for that," Aizawa shook his head. "From what I understand, either Nakamura is blackmailing Midoriya, or you're lying in an attempt to defame and expel Nakamura. This isn't something that can be ignored."
"Well, it's two versus two right now, and there's no proof either way," Ochacko argued. "There's no point."
"Two versus two?" Aizawa raised an eyebrow. "That's not how investigations work. It doesn't matter how many people believe you."
"She has a point," Missy spoke up. "If you can't prove that I'm blackmailing Midoriya, which you definitely can't, you also won't be able to prove she's lying. A lack of proof does not mean that lies are what's taking place."
"Like I said, we can't just wrap this up under the assumption we won't find proof," Aizawa repeated. "In the meantime, all of you will be suspended."
"What?" all of them demanded.
"That's not fair," Kyouka protested. "I'm just a witness, I'm not the defendant or the prosecutor or anything."
"I didn't do anything wrong," Ochacko insisted. "I refuse to let my career be put on hold. I won't let Nakamura ruin my life even more."
"Too bad," Aizawa said in a tone that made it clear there would be no argument. "Unless Midoriya wants to it there is no blackmail, or Nakamura wants to it she did blackmail, there will be an investigation."
There were several seconds of silence as the four students decided how to proceed. "What...will happen to the people who are lying?" Izuku finally asked.
"If Nakamura is the one who is lying, she will be expelled. Any further charges would need to be pressed by the victim," Aizawa answered. "If you and Uraraka are the ones lying...I'll have to think of a proper punishment."
"We won't be expelled?" Izuku asked. Ochacko glared at him, not approving of his train of thought.
"It depends on how far the lies extended, and how much each of you participated in contributing to it or spreading it," Aizawa shrugged.
Izuku looked at Ochacko, who was red in the face with anger. "I...I'm sorry, Nakamura...I don't want you to be expelled," he mumbled before looking at the teacher. "Ochacko is lying. We...we're lying. I didn't know what to say, I didn't think we'd be found..."
"Simple, isn't it?" Aizawa sighed. "All right, go home, you four, and no more skipping or disrupting class. I'll have decided the proper punishments by tomorrow."
"That's it?" Ochacko asked. "No, no, that's not fair."
"You don't have the grounds to demand an investigation," Aizawa told her. "You aren't the victim, and the victim's story no longer corroborates with your own."
Missy, Izuku, and Kyouka made their way out of the classroom as Ochacko continued to argue with him. Kyouka quickly jogged down the hallway to catch up with Denki and update him, leaving Izuku and Missy alone. "Look, Missy, I'm sorry," Izuku sighed. "I was always so conflicted between the two of you. I liked Ochacko, but I didn't know if she liked me back. Then we met, and you asked me out, and there wasn't that uncertainty. I shouldn't have dated you without resolving whatever was going on with Ochacko. Now I see just how far she's willing to go, and I know what kind of person she really is. I'm so sorry, and I was hoping you might one day decide to give me a second chance. You're a wonderful person, and-"
"Wow, I literally don't care," Missy interrupted. "Bye." She walked away, leaving a confused and stunned Izuku standing in the middle of the hallway.
She was eager to get out of the school and get some fresh air. As she opened the doors, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She had won, without resorting to dirty tricks and lies. She smiled at that thought. Even though Ochacko had tried to lie and manipulate everybody, she still couldn't get away with anything. Not only did everybody know Izuku had cheated on Missy, and that Ochacko had known he was dating Missy when they made out, but now they also knew that Ochacko was a convincing liar. They'd never trust her again. Was it bad to revel in another's loss of credibility?
"So, what happened?" a voice shook her out of her thoughts. She opened her eyes to see Katsuki standing near the entrance, clearly having waited for her.
"Midoriya told Aizawa everything, so Uraraka's case fell apart," Missy reported.
"Oh, so he fessed up, huh," Katsuki said. "Did he apologize to you?"
"Yeah, a really long monologue about how it had been tough for him and how now he realizes he chose wrong and stuff," she confirmed.
"Oh. So...are you two together again?"
Missy snorted. "Hell no," she scoffed. "I would never date such a pushover."
"That's more like it," Katsuki chuckled. "Now you have reason to hate him just as much as I do."
"Let's go get a bite," Missy suggested.
"What?" Katsuki furrowed his brow. "Like a date? But you just..."
"Eh, I need a rebound," Missy shrugged. "And you can't afford to be picky. I don't see the line of girls waiting for the opportunity to go on a date with you. And if you're lucky, maybe our relationship will be more successful than that mess I had with Midoriya."
"If I'm lucky, eh?" he scoffed.
"Just shut up and take me out for a proper breakfast date."
