Hihi! Back so soon with yet another completed artwork !

Okay so this is my… entry? Post? Idk. For the #ICTarot activity!

When I was picking the tarot card I would use I actually pulled a card from my own personal deck! I didnt have any character in mind when I pulled the card (I felt around the deck while not looking at it then just grabbed the one I felt ‘resonated’ if that makes sense) and I ended up pulling the 9 of torches! I didn’t realize until afterwards when I completed the drawing that the deck I was pulling from had different names for the minor arcana , so it was actually the 9 of wands that was pulled

Of course, I didn’t know much about the 9 of wands when I pulled the card, so I did a quick google search just to get a general idea and let me tell you I’ve never gotten more inspired in my life.

The card instantly reminded me so much if Izuku Midoriya, so obviously I had to draw him, but the problem was, I didn’t know what I’d do to represent the 8 other torches, or wands, if Izuku was one torch or wand I was still missing 8 (technically following the meaning of the 9 of wands I could have just let them be torches but that’s no fun, now is it?)

then I ed how many s of OFA there is… which is 9! So obviously the 8 other wands/torches were the 8 other s, only Toshinori is colored though because it symbolizes the fact he’s the only one who’s still alive (as far as I’m aware O.o)

Again, I didn’t realize my deck had changed the name of wands until after I finished the drawing but I decided to keep it as torches because I like the idea of torches in this context anyway since MHA mentions a few times that OFA is like a flame, or at least compares OFA to a flame, so what better would the drawing be than Izuku holding a torch or a flame, and the other s of OFA looking back at him, with smoke above them, like their torches had burnt out?

I used the card I pulled as a reference so in the original one what I turned into “smoke” is apparently boulders? I uh.. didn’t see it that way when I decided to use the fun designs on top of them in my drawing too, in hindsight I should I have realized though, considering the color isn’t the same as the other (obvious) smoke in the drawing but that just didn’t to me… so just in case anyone is confused it’s smoke!
