I have this head cannon that before UA that Shinsou’s past teachers would freak out if he asked questions. And same with classmates so he was probably ignored a lot and bullied. So metaphorically speaking I think he was silenced in a way. ( but not literally had his lips sewn this was just an artistic interpretation on my part)
