have finished with your critique and i thank you for waiting so patiently!

:: → before i get started, i absolutely adore the color palette of these piece! the softness of the colors is easier on the eyes and makes the artwork more attractive, luring even. it's very well done!

:: → my first focus is the shading on this piece. the majority of what i see is very light or small in areas, which makes it difficult to see and added shadows to be hard to locate. i'd suggest using unsatured violets, blues, or reds with slightly lowered opacity as a base for shading! using airbrush tools for basic darkened areas such as ochako's hair below the hat can provide a slow gradient for shadows. for a specific shading style for smaller more specific areas, i'd suggest using the brush base 3 flow and drawing slow strokes in areas where shadows may be present. changing the blending layer to options such as multiply, color burn, and darken color and altering the opacity can make the shadows melt into the frame more so.

:: → the highlights on this piece seem to have no set base. though, this is easily fixable.

highlights are often visible due to a specific lightsource, which can be provided from any angle. the easiest way to set a light source is to draw a small sun on the canvas.

from this point, you can assume where the light would hit. for shading, strong sweeps with a partially lighter color is possibly, though i'd suggest that the shadows are done first so you can use them as a vantage point when it comes to reflection of light. for more reference on highlights, the blog i've linked in the former critique portion also shares some content on highlights using saturated colors.

:: → the flowers are incredibly well done! the positioning on them all makes them look incredibly well spaced out. the petals are absolutely gorgeous, as well. they're drawn with precision, making the artwork look neater.
