This is a one-shot between an oc x cc romantic pairing. The pairings used are Monique Andrés ( oc) and Shoto Todoroki ( cc)! I hope you enjoy it. The art commission was done by none other than Ainyx. Despite the hard work and efforts of Shoto Todoroki in his quest to become a hero who protected those who need it most and moved past his traumatizing childhood, he’s grown to meet amazing friends in his life, those he can depend on and rely on. But today Shoto was experiencing more than friendship; it was a date, his first one actually with a girl he became fond of. With the help of Midoriya, Iida, Yoayrozu, and surprisingly Bakugo helped in his way too. Todoroki arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time to wait for her. It was around 7:30 the sun was going down which Yaoyorozu explained is the perfect time for a date like this. As he waited he felt slightly nervous. What if she never showed? What if she didn’t like him? What if he screwed it up with his poor social skills?
As his mind began to fill with every negative thought he felt a tap on his shoulder turning around he saw her in a beautiful royal blue kimono with white accents on it, hair tied into a messy bun and a silver nose ring the class resident smartass in her own words Monique Andrés stood, earlier than expected. “ Todoroki? Helloooooo? Someone in there, or did you fall asleep?” she asked, putting her hands behind her back with a friendly smile adorning her face. Shoto couldn’t help but feel more at ease when he saw her smile, especially when he’s the reason why. “ You arrived earlier than I expected and your kimono suits you. Did you ask Asui or Ashido to help you tie it?” he asked, taking a moment to ire her outfit. He wanted to express how beautiful she looked to him but he didn’t want to mess it up by not having the proper words to say. Normally he could speak his mind about anything but this isn’t his father or friends like Midoriya or Bakugo. This is a girl he wanted to impress and tonight was the make or break for him. “ Awe thanks Todoroki, and Ashido tried to help but almost ripped the damn thing so I had to ask Asui. It would have blown if I couldn’t wear this kimono tonight especially when I’m on an outing with the class resident heartthrob.” The girl said, clasping her hands together and swaying at the idea of it for a moment. “ I don’t think your heart throbbing would be pleasant? Do you need to go to the hospital?” Shoto asked worried that he is causing her Immense physical pain though she seems fine. “ Todoroki let’s go, I promise I’m nowhere near sick and if I was I might still consider coming,” Monique states taking a hold of his hand and entering the fairgrounds.
The classmates were hand in hand walking iring the different venues and stalls opened offering many tasty foods and fun games to play. “ Oh look Todoroki, one of those shooting games and look at one of the prizes, it’s a puppy. Come on, I wanna add it to mi-my BROTHERS! Yep, my baby brother’s collection.” Monique said trying to cover up that at 16 years old she still collected and kept all of her stuffed animals since childhood. Though Todoroki wasn’t completely clueless, he was aware that she didn’t want to it that she had many. “ Would you like me to win one for you?” From the drama, Midoriya and Uraraka showed him girls liked when guys showed off and won them gifts but Monique is a wild card. “ Or would you like to compete to win the prize?” Shoto then asked and noticed a thin smirk grace her lips. “ Now you’re speaking my language, Todoroki. Let’s get this shit rolling.” Monique said as the two of them paid and the little competition was over before it even began with Todoroki’s victory. Though he saw the girls pout at her failure he couldn’t help but find it somewhat adorable as he handed her the toy she seemed so fond of. “ I know I won the game but I still intended to give you this.” He held it out as Monique accepted it, holding it close. “ Yay thanks Shoto. I mean Todoroki. Sorry sorry, I shouldn’t be calling you by your first name shouldn’t I?” Monique said as Todoroki felt a blush form on his face. It was faint but it was there. He liked the way she said his name. “ There shouldn’t be an issue with calling me Shoto if you’re okay with me calling you Monique.” He started as Monique smiled some. “ tots Shoto you can call me Monique, it feels so much more natural than Andres. It sounds like I’m an individual.”
The date continued, Shoto and Monique talking and laughing as their night continued. “ I can’t believe you kept getting hit by a laughing quirk. How did you guys even defeat the guy?” Monique said in a fit of laughter. The two were talking about different villain attacks or missions they went on after the last year and a half, these second years have a lot to talk about both events they were there for. “We couldn’t stop him in normal methods but Midoriya was able to convince him to stop and start doing his art properly. I guess people find his art popular now more than ever.” Shoto stated; as he looked down at the girl. This time together with her made him feel warm. No training or focusing on being a hero. He’s never thought much about girls or dating. He watched Kaminari and Mineta obsess over these things even Midoriya failed at every attempt he made with Uraraka and didn’t think much of it but now he did. Which made him nervous. The last thing he wanted to do is wreck this date but he heard a stomach rumble and was aware it wasn’t his so he looked over and noticed Monique seeming to be worried. Crap what should he do? Shoto’s eyes darted around until he found a food stall selling Takoyaki. Without much thought, he led her hand in hand to the stall as the vendor noticed the two. “ AHH UA kids out tonight must be taking a night of saving the day for some fun. You kids are enjoying yourselves?” He asked as he took the freshly made balls and put them on the plate and garnished them. “ Here, consider it on the house.” Shoto didn’t even have time to pull his wallet, not expecting anything free. “ We couldn’t accept it for free, you worked hard on these,” Monique said as Shoto nodded his head in approval. “ Well, consider this as a thank you for all the hard work you do. I doubt you get to relax as often as you like.” The man persisted as Monique took it out of the man’s hand smiling. “ Thank you so much, sir, we will enjoy it all.” Monique just couldn’t, not accept it now, after all, he was offering and she was pretty hungry. “ You know we could have just paid right? I don’t think it’s fair we get offered free things from someone and others don’t.” Shoto spoke up still on the fence but Monique shook her head as he titled his head confused by not. “ I think it’s important to accept little things sometimes. People put their faith in heroes every day to protect them, the least we can do is accept them. It shows people appreciate our efforts and keeps heroes’ morale up.” Monique said as Shoto nodded. “ I guess I’m not that used to those things. Should I start accepting gifts I find in my locker and desk every week?” Shot asked not knowing the difference as Monique glared at him. “ Do that and I might consider violence on my day off.” She said as she looked down at the food and then at him. She didn’t know how to do it but he didn’t get it right away either until it clicks. “ Do you want me to feed you An-Monique?” Shoto asked as Monique shrugged. “ If you want to do so badly,” Monique said, brushing her hair back to her face as Shoto used the little stick to pick it up with ease and raised it to her mouth as she blew and ate it. A little had gotten on her kimono but nothing a little quirk can’t fix. “ It’s so good.” The girl said with a satisfied look on her face. She picked on up the best she could and held it up to his lips. “ Since you were victorious, how about I feed the winner.” She said as Shoto did it again, blushing. But how could he say no and not accept it allowing her to feed him. It tasted so good, maybe it’s because the girl he liked was doing it? Regardless this went on until there was none left and the two had their fill. It didn’t take long to clean the stains on her Kimono and Monique returned from the bathroom nice and clean once more. “ Come on Shoto, the night is young.” The girl dragged him ahead, a smile formed not a small one but for once a big one. He’s never had so much fun with another person before.
The night was coming to an end. The two played games and ate different dishes. Monique and Shoto were at a park as he was walking her home. She wanted to play on it as if they were little kids. After sitting on the swings for a while and conversation Monique gripped her Kimino a little but took a deep breath. “ Hey Shoto. Thanks for today. I wouldn’t have even thought that I’d have so much fun with you. Though if I’m being honest I hope we go to more festivals together.” Monique said standing in front of him while he sat on one of the swings. For Shoto, it meant more to him that she wanted to see him again and go more places with him. But he wanted to get it off his chest and it it. “ I’m not the best when it comes to these things, but will you be my girlfriend?” Even if Shoto’s face was a little darker shade of red. His heart thumping a mile a minute he felt confident in his asking. He liked her a lot and even if he was going to make mistakes he wanted to be with Monique. He didn’t have to wait for a response as the girl leaned down enough to be at his level and captured his lips as what he’s well aware of as a kiss. He’s heard when you kiss someone you feel strongly for them, a spark of some kind. That’s what Shoto felt. Though the kiss didn’t last too long to his disappointment the girl who gave him his first kiss smiled. “ Well duh I’ll be your girlfriend, I didn’t dress up to be this cute for anyone.” she quipped back a response as it left another genuine smile on his lips. The moment was perfect for the two, their feelings were out in the open and alone together, but before they could attempt to kiss again their phones buzzing altering them they needed to return. “ Crap, my sister is going to have my head.” Monique said as Todoroki finished texting Fuyumi he would be home soon. “ Let’s go before we have to wait sometime before our next date.” Todoroki said, taking her hand in his to take his new girlfriend home.
