So ... I’ve been rather inactive for the past month, and during that time I haven’t done any art. I have a lot of personal things bringing me down, but also found myself trying to change my art to appease the featuring system here on Amino? I don’t know, it’s been a real let down — not feeling like you’re good enough when something you do isn’t featured, especially through the hard work.
I’m beginning to realize that the only person I need to artistically please is myself, and all pieces I make from now on will be catered to what I enjoy — I’m not going to constantly bring myself down for what I deem “bad” art.
That being said, your worth isn’t evaluated based on a featuring system. Please, keep up with your ions, there is always going to that group of people (no matter how small) that will continuously you; that should never be overlooked for popularity.
Art is a reflection of your inner self, not a pile of numbers.
PS. I will always suffer when drawing Mirio.

You shouldn't bring yourself down. Your arts great ^^
I'd also like to say that it shows that all you need to do is draw what YOU want in the style YOU desire, as when you posted that art that you did the way you wanted, the most resent one as of this comment, it was featured. Maybe the problem of not being featured was that you were trying to cater to what others wanted When all you really needed to do was be yourself
Also, I just wanted to give you this
*Virtual huggles*
You need more hugs. That's my diagnosis
I hope you feel better soon
Also also, your art is just AMAZING! As soon as I saw your art, I was like
"I wanna have my new character in that art style"
And boom, here I am
Just wanted to say that your art is valuable and that it is precious to me. I really love your style and even if you don’t get feature, it doesn’t mean you aren’t a great artist.... I really haven’t seen you in a while but then when I relooked at your profile I saw what made me feel drawn to you.
Ah Daisy;;; You’re so kind, thank you. ;v; I appreciate everything you’re telling me, and I fully agree. I’m glad my art means something to you. :yellow_heart:
You’re art is really good. Valuable for a feature and valuable to yourself as well.
Try putting hashtags in your blogs so we’re able to find your artwork next time we’re featuring

Heya! Thank you for the compliments, they do mean a lot to me — I also appreciate the advice, and will try and use it from now on!
I apologize if I made it seem like it’s the curator’s fault making others feel bad about their artwork(I looked it over and fixed the post so it doesn’t seem that way), mostly just based upon self deprecation.
I’m sure your job is hefty enough as it is, and you get a lot of these tags.

No no, it’s totally understandable. A lot of good art slips under our gazes sometimes! I’ll most definitely try looking out for you again on the downlow, I feel as though many people will appreciate your work.

300k is a lot of people to look after, so I don’t blame the lot of you! I really do appreciate it, thank you. :yellow_heart: :yellow_heart: :yellow_heart: It means a lot to hear that. ;v;
This really needed to be said, praise you
Agreed! Worth is based upon your satisfaction, not the amount of likes you get on a post.
I’m still working on separating the two.

Yeah, it's hard to sometimes when you work so hard on a piece but it doesn't get a lot of likes.
But it shouldn't matter how many likes a post gets, if we're satisfied with it then that should be enough!
