Chester is a very intelligent student who prefers to keep to himself and really values his personal space and silence. He’s the textbook definition of an introvert, preferring to be on his own or with one or two other people rather than with a group. Overall he acts like a complete grouch most of the time, his aggressive realism shooting down dreams left and right. He simply does things that are the most logical and sides with logic more than emotions for the most part. Because of this, Chester can come off as pretty apathetic.

Chester had a calm, stable childhood, spending most of his days at school, studying in the school library, or at home with his grandmother. His father and mother were always out working to provide for their family, and when his mother ed away and it was just his father working, he was gone even more. Chester rarely ever saw his father through his elementary and middle school years, and would only later occasionally see him get home from work. Despite his father being often absent, he acknowledged his father’s hard work and so it never really bothered him. Plus, he enjoyed all the alone time and silence he was granted from his father being away. It gave him plenty of time to academically flourish, leading him to apply and get accepted into SHA, one of the most prestigious hero schools in the country. His father also happened to work there, meaning they saw each other quite often, and that alone would take Chester a lot to get used to.

Shield Construction

The can construct shields and shield-like objects to defend themselves, which can be composed of anything/everything, including matter/energy, power, concepts, etc.
Ｑｕｉｒｋ Ａｄｖａｎｔａｇｅｓ
His quirk gives him the large advantage of being able to construct large barriers to protect himself and others, and also block things like debris, attacks, weapons, etc. Along with that, he can also use them to hold buildings together, use them as a material to step on, use them as fighting weapons, and more.
Ｑｕｉｒｋ Ｄｒａｗｂａｃｋｓ
Chester’s shields usually aren’t the most durable when it comes to repetitive attacks or attacks that are powered with speed acceleration. Attacks can break through and shatter his shields quite easily with enough pressure put on them. Along with that, Chester can only create sheiks by using his hands or feet to direct their path. Meaning most of the time he can only create two weaker shields at once, or use both of his hands to construct and direct a more powerful shield. He also is incapable of creating a 360 barrier. Usually they are 2D shapes of a circle or a square shape.

Deflection: Chester is capable of deflecting attacks, normally projectiles or blunt force, away from himself with a special double layered shield. While usually a defensive method, it can be utilized as an offensive technique by redirecting the deflected attacks against others, or even against the original attacker.

Mother (deceased)
Chester doesn’t much about his mother, she ed away when he was only 7 years old, so his memories of her are faint and few. But the couple he does were nice. Things like him snuggling up in her arms to take a nap, or when they used to read together. What little memories he has been able to hold onto have been good ones, he treasures them greatly, but at the same time isn’t too upset over her death due to growing up with his grandmother who was the sort of full i motherly figure.
Father
Chester has a complicated relationship with his father. It isn’t that he hates him or thinks he is a bad father by any means, he just has a distaste for his father’s overly optimistic, childlike way of thinking about things. It is difficult to respect a man that hardly can act his age, and it certainly doesn’t help that Chester matured faster than most his age as well. In the end though, he does love his father and have some respect for him and his words.
Grandmother
Chester is probably the closest with his grandmother who was sort of a mother for him and the most apparent guardian in his younger years before attending SHA. Redmond was rarely home due to having to work to feed three mouths and to pay the bills, so because of this, Chester spent most of his time with his grandmother wether it be cooking, solving a puzzle, or simply enjoying being in each others company. His grandmother could talk a mouthful when needed but understood that Chester was a child that enjoyed his personal space and valued silence, and as such, his grandmother respected that, which is we here most of Chester’s respect and appreciation for his grandmother came from.
